Days Hotel by Wyndham Ankara Cankaya

Stayed here for a weekend due to work. Place was very clean, Hotel staff brings takeout food to your door. Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and clean rooms

I was in Ankara for a week on business at the Days Hotel. This is my honest review. Just I add that for some reason this hotel is ‘by Wyndham’ but the one week point collection stay was not added to my Wyndham rewards membership for some reason unknown to me. Most of the men working at the front desk and breakfast area are smokers. They stand in front of the main entrance smoking and when they walk into the lobby it smells like cigarette smoke. I stayed in Room 306 for a week. The first 2 days, the same song was on repeat in the entire general area and restaurant of the hotel. Butterfly by Maria & Whitney. They might need a new ‘hotel dj”. They did change this after I mentioned it to the lady at reception. Gizem at reception is amazing. She was very helpful with arranging transport, check-in and tourist information. At breakfast there is a fresh open buffet with an Automatic Coffee machine, the machine makes nasty instant bitter coffee and since the day I arrived it was not serviced, I asked the man and lady at the breakfast area why there is no hot chocolate and they said the service man doesn’t show up. That coffee machine needs maintenance service but no one seems to care. The servers offer filter coffee but I prefer and expected a Wyndham group hotel to have espresso type coffees. The butter in the buffet corner sits outside in room temperature without any kind of cooling. As stated on the label, the maximum temperature it should be stored at is 4 Celsius. The breakfast room temperature is about 20 Celsius. The breakfast overall is traditional Mediterranean buffet. It is acceptable for this business hotel. Yeter, the cleaning lady was very intelligent and had common sense. She even organized my cosmetics. The bed, towels and sheets are lovely clean and in good condition. The TV does not have screen casting and barely any English channels so if you want to watch Netflix bring your own HDMI cable and laptop. If you get lucky the WiFi in the hotel room might work. The Wi-fi at this hotel is unstable. As you can see in the photos, you enter your ID # and room #. I had to do this 5-6 times while getting cut off every 2-3 hours each day. In the evenings the wifi is very weak, impossible to have international video calls. At night after 12 the internet connection is completely cut off. I had trouble conducting video calls with the USA and Portugal. Yalin at the night shift reception could not help as he said the internet service man is not available so he could not fix the wifi problem. The reception & lobby (work area) has a completely different wifi system. Obviously the internet gateway company is not good. The Days Hotel claims to be a business hotel but I was disappointed with this wifi internet hassle every day and every night. You can not depend on this hotel for Wifi and internet reliability. The best points were the excellent room with the comfortable bed and the prime location.

i go the many times with my basketball team fenerbahçe sport club. and i’ve been very pleased every time. everyone is friendly and helpful. If I come to Ankara again i will definitely come the this hotel. thank you for everything 😇😇😇😇🙏🏻

For a 3 star hotel, this is good value. Breakfast is fairly basic but some rotation daily on the hot offerings. It is clean and no smoking inside although some guests flout the rules setting off alarms. Staff all seem to be committed smokers and can be found outside the main entrance on a regular basis. English is spoken by some staff. Over all a friendly, popular and well managed establishment although still an unknown entity to many taxi drivers. We have stayed previously and hope to do so again which speaks volumes for itself.

Odamız ***et ferahtı ve ihtiyaca cevap verecek şekilde döşenmişti. Otelin donanımı yeni ve temizdi. Kahvaltı büfesi çeşitleri yeterli idi. Otelin her bölümde hizmet veren personel güler yüzlü ve yardımsever davrandı.

Stayed in this hotel 12 days with no problems at all. Good breakfast, great location for restaurants and shops on walking distance. Hotel location is on higher ground compare to city centre Very helpful staff.

The room was cold, air conditioning didn’t help to heat it. Not so many choices but breakfast was not bad. Great staff, especially the woman who works as a waitress while breakfast. Receptionists was helpful. Nice rooms. Soundproof and blackout curtains.
