Great hotel. We've had dinner at the restaurant here twice so we were excited to stay here. Rooms are pretty quiet, especially for being in a large city. Beds/pillows very comfortable (and I'm fussy!). Staff was all very friendly. Rooms were large and the showers was great- more hotels need the temp handle on the wall opposite the shower head. Not quite as central to a lot of the places on Woodward but pretty short walk

I always stay here when in Detroit, very different and unique... Old Firehall turned into a very cool and sheik hotel!

The Foundation Hotel is a unique property. The staff is very kind. We had Brunch at the restaurant and it was amazing. Highly recommend.

This Hotel was beautiful not to mention a piece of history. The food was excellent in the restaurant, the rooms were may, smelled great and were modern classy! On my list of “stay at again”! 10 out of 10

Loved this hotel!! Fantastic location right across the street from the convention center. Staff were super friendly and had positive vibes, great place for a meal anytime of day plus lively bar scene. Drinks and food were excellent. Great coffee too. Gym was good, nice room. Loved overall vibe of this place.

We liked design of the room and bathroom as well as location. Could hear noises from chairs in other rooms due to no wall to wall carpeting. Staff could not share if there was recycling available and once no one picked up when we called for service. Bed was ok but felt a bit worn and too soft for my liking. Close to tram/train line for folks who are light sleepers.

The room and bathroom were both was so tiny and uncomfortable. No place to even place toiletries or toothbrush in bathroom, no closet in room.

Beautiful hotel and painstakingly restored. Every detail is executed well.
