Boutique Beach All inclusive Diving Resort Have you ever stayed with people who had a passion and wanted to share their special world with you? That is Boutique Beach. We paired a trip to Boutique Beach for boat snorkeling with a stay at Vilamendhoo for house reef snorkeling in April of 2024. My wife and I are well-traveled snorkelers (DIVERS KEEP READING). We booked the deluxe snorkel package at Boutique Beach Dive Hotel in Dhigurah. We were there for 6 days. It was a wonderful time. I will discuss reasons why we loved it and hope to be back soon: 1. The crew is passion driven. Their mission is to expose you to the marine life of the South Ari Atoll. They are attuned to the place, the weather, and the currents, and plan dives and snorkel drops accordingly. The dive crew rotates the snorkel guide position, so we had a different guide every day, which was fine. SCUBA safety appeared to be top notch. 2. The marine life is outstanding. Mettie uploads video from guests and staff everyday on YouTube (@boutiquebeachdhigurah). These videos speak for themselves. This is how you will know that the diving is world class. 3. The snorkeling: because the majority of the guests were divers, we snorkeled at sites near the dive drops with at least 2 snorkels a day. We saw lots of fish, including 2 whale sharks together (and only 5 snorkelers as we were the only boat out that early!). I also had a school of eagle rays come right to me. We saw a manta while snorkeling as well as all of the other Indian Ocean reef fish and turtles one would expect. I did snorkel off the beach in the lagoon, but the way the winds were the week we were there it was murky. There were lots of fish, and I would like to explore it under clear conditions. 4. MUCK DIVERS: the owner, Romney, is a muck diver at heart. If you watch many of the daily uploads, you will come across incredible macro videos of nudibranchs and shrimps, those are hers, as she often dives right with the guests. 5. The price: what we were quoted up front is exactly what we paid at the end. When is the last time you ever took a trip like that? There were no hidden surprises, and Afzal was outstanding at setting up our arrangements. 6. The food: Shanthii and his kitchen crew put out phenomenal food. The serving is buffet style, and we thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. Shanthii is from Sri Lanka, but taps into multiple genres in his kitchen. Multiple times I asked him how he was getting the flavors and textures. Dhigurah is a dry and pork-free town. If either of those are essentials for you it might be a struggle. 7. The boat: the dive/snorkel boat is spacious enough that even with every room booked at the hotel the boat never felt crowded. 8. The hotel: Dhigurah, like all of the Maldives, has extremely limited land and so houses and other buildings are close together, and streets are narrower than where we live. Boutique Beach Hotel is on the frontage road to the lagoon (sunset) side of the island, which is a great locat

We had a wonderful time for holiday at Boutique beach for a week. Everybody is happy and helpful. They have a fantastic team for diving and snorkeling everyday, the best! We are very thankful for having chosen the right hotel. Feeling like in a big family there and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel in Maldives for ocean safari games. And we are looking forward to returning.

We recently returned home from a week's stay at BBR with 4 other couples. Words can't do justice to the most wonderful experience we had here! We went for the diving, and with the expert help from Romney, Mette, Ibrahim, Seb, Cam, Dylan, Lucinda, Shohag and Shahid, we checked off all of our bucket list items --- whale sharks, mantas, sharks, turtles, the nudibranchs, etc. They and their wonderful dive boat made the diving superb! To boot, they all care deeply for the animals and ecosystem under the ocean. But that is only the tip of the iceberg. The hotel was kept spotless. (Thank you James and Kawshur.) The meals cooked by Chef Shanthi and his assistant (Amith) were to die for, and were served with charm and smiles by our friend Saeed. All of the pre-trip and on-site arrangements were handled promptly and seamlessly by Afzal and Isuru, much appreciated. Mette's daily videos of our diving were thoroughly enjoyed. But the very best of all was the genuine warmth exuded by each and every one of these persons to make sure we had a great time. They succeeded beyond our wildest dreams, right down to the group send-off they gave us. Beyond the 5-star amenities provided for our trip, they touched our hearts and gave us memories we will cherish. If you have an opportunity to come here for a visit, don't pass it up.

We had the most amazing week’s stay at Boutique Beach and would thoroughly recommend it as a dive hotel. The rooms are comfortable with huge beds and amazing outdoor bathrooms. The food is varied and always excellent. Diving is relaxed but safety-focussed and the whole team, whether behind the scenes or customer-facing, works really hard to provide a top-notch guest experience. So glad we chose to stay on a local island rather than a resort island. Well done to Romney for having the vision and making it a reality.

We spent 9 wonderful nights at Boutique Beach hotel. The hotel is small (6 main luxury rooms + extension of 3 more room): everything is made to make you feel well, with a friendly and family atmosphere.  Rooms are confortable,  the food is excellent, diner is served on the roof top. Special thanks for the 2 amazing diners for our group on the beach. The beach is just in front of the hotel. You can also walk on the beach all the way to the long sand bank at the north of the island. Sunset there is a dream. This is above all an hotel for diving. Dive sites are marvellous around the island. Day trips include 2 or 3 dives with sometimes breakfirst or lunch on the boat. The crew takes care of everything for you. We dived in various places/countries before and could tell how professionnal the dive center is, with strong security focus and a friendly atmosphere. They so not hesitate to navigate to the nicest sites within south ari atoll.  We saw mantas, whale sharks, turtles, sharks... and much more.

They win many awards and we can see why. Had 6 days of amazing diving with whale sharks, mantas, reef sharks, turtles and so many other varieties of marine life. The boat is nice and big with plenty of space, onboard toilet, and full meals served on board to maximize diving time if the plan called for it. Did my Nitrox certification and it was so smooth and professional. Mette made a daily video and uploads it to youtube from all of the SD cards from each of the guests each day. A lot of work! A presentation of the whale sharks and mantas as well as full explanation of each dive site given the night before. The area is incredible diving with tons of varieties of marine life. Each site really was quite different and there are so many sites to choose from. Food was surprisingly awesome. Home cooked feeling yet great variety, substantial and hearty as well as creative. Room is comfortable, beds are great, well maintained with good AC (a must) and fast wifi. Chargers given for charging our cameras each night. We came for the diving but we would come back for the people. Everyone felt so genuine and it was the team that made it special. Really a “home grown community feeling” with all the luxuries you need and none that you don’t. Much more reasonable experienced compared to the stereotypical all inclusive. My hats off to Seb, Dylan, Cam, Lucinda, Mette, Romney, Chef Shanti, Saeed, Afzal, Ibrahim, Shahid, Shohag and anyone else I missed. And we made so many friends with great guests we met too diving each day. Thanks for making it our best diving experience yet!

We just left Boutique Beach today, and are already missing it so much!! This is the type of place you simultaneously want to tell everyone about because it’s so great, but you also want to keep secret so it’s stays magical forever. We want to give a big congratulations to everyone on the BB team—you guys have created something special here for sure. We spent 6 nights here, and could have stayed much longer. We did between 2-3 dives per day, and each was fab. We got to dive with each of the dive masters except for Lucinda (next time!!) and they are all absolute GEMS. Thank you to Seb, Dylan and Cam for such a fun time!! Seb manages the diving shenanigans flawlessly, and clearly pays close attention to everything going on for the divers—we commented multiple times how things just seem to *happen* so smoothly, almost magically, and that is clearly reflective of great management. The boat crew could not be better, and the dive boat itself is the best we’ve experienced—well designed, with plenty of space, shower, toilet, and always tea and coffee on hand. We could dive here for years and not get tired of it! The hotel is super comfortable, everything you need, and rooms kept is great condition. This hotel is clearly set up perfectly for divers—co-owner Romney (who set up BB with boat captain Ibrahim) knows what divers want and has delivered 10 fold!! Mette keeps things running flawlessly in the hotel and Afzal coordinates all the bookings seamlessly. We loved meeting for dive briefing and daily dive video every night. The FOOD was everything we could have hoped for and we were so impressed every day. Saeed took such great care of us every day, ans Chef Shanti kept the great food coming! We particularly appreciated the very romantic beach dinner for us on our last night, thank you!! What really sets this place however is the genuineness that seeps through into everything—I think every hotel/resort/dive center wants to create this feeling, but only a very few succeed, and BB is one. You leave feeling like you’ve found a new home, and that’s very very special. We call these places our “sticky places,” as you just can’t help coming back. We truly hope to make it back one day in the not too distant future!! Thank you guys!!!

The staff at this all inclusive boutique hotel were very friendly, helpful, fun, energetic. The hotel was clean, in a great location, with a beautiful beach just a 30 second walk away and the meals were tasty. YUMS! I had a wonderful time on land and in the water. The dive team were professional and fun. I got my Padi Enriched Air Diver and Advanced Open Water certification with them. The service was above and beyond. I will be back.
