オテル デュ パレ(Hotel du Palais Dijon)

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel du Palais! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! They helped us book all of our restaurants and wine tours (through Chemins de Bourgogne-highly recommend) as well as the wine cellar tasting in the hotel (highly recommend)!

Comfy bed, large bathroom, knowledgeable staff (one of the owners gave us a delightful tour of burgundy wine country), and great location. Dijon is as charming as can be and the Hotel du Palais did not disappoint.

After my husband was injured at the Hotel des Ducs, I called this hotel and the owner arranged for a cab to pick us up. The staff helped my husband out of the cab, sat him down, and gave us cold drinks. The staff helped him up to our room, and they made us comfortable. Twice my husband fell while holding a glass, and the staff was extremely gracious about the clean up. The room was large and spacious, and the staff made every effort to help us. When we went to check out, the owner refused to take a tip for her staff, as she said that service was what the hotel offered. In comparison to how we were treated at the Hotel des Ducs, the contrast was amazing. I will always be grateful to the owner for the kindness that she showed me when I really needed help. The hotel is lovely, the breakfast is very nice, and the service is exceptional. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The standard of service beats anything that I have seen in 50 years of traveling. You shouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Dijon.

This is a 5 Star stay at a 3 star price. The staff is over the top helpful and friendly. Eve set up Christmas dinner for us at a very fancy restaurant and even translated the menu to English so we would know what we had to eat. Wow, totally unexpected! Our wine tasting with Robin turned into a 2 hour affair as we were the only ones present. We learned from him and he from us as we talked about wines for France and our home state of Washington in the USA. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds great. Nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is centrally located to everything you want to see in Dijon. Most of Dijon is a pedestrian only space. Hotel du Palais is on the edge of this area and has the advantage of being reachable by a taxi from the train station. It is an easy walk to everything. No schlepping your bags for long distances to find your hotel. We would highly recommend both Dijon and Hotel du Palais. Dijon is beautiful in and of itself. Dijon really puts on a show at Christmas.....incredible displays of lights at night. Combine Dijon with a stay at Hotel du Palais and you have a winner! Thank you Eve and staff for a great week! I have very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel du Palais. The hotel has been beautifully renovated in a historic building. I am surprised it is rated a 3 star hotel as I would easily class it as a 4 star hotel with 5 star service. It is shockingly affordable. The hotel staff have been very attentive and kind. The Moutarde room which I booked is very charming. It is large. The online photos in the hotel website do not do it justice at all. (Usually it is the opposite - the online photos make the room appear better than the reality!) It is very modern with wood floors, a high ceiling and the right amount of amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable. I slept well. The bathroom is large, very modern and super clean. I very much enjoyed the breakfast which had very good selection of items. I would happily stay here again.

Super clean boutique hotel in a great location just a couple of blocks from Place de Liberation and the adjacent shopping and dining areas. Lots of entertainment and shopping areas within walking distance. Super safe area. Staff was friendly and efficient and spoke fluent English as well as French.Our room, Truffe, came with several nice amenities, including a heated towel rack that was luxurious. Highlight of stay was a wine tasting in the cellar with Sullivan, who is not only very personable but has an encyclopedic knowledge of burgundy’s regional wines. The cellar itself was amazing, check out the photos on their website. Would definitely stay there again. 5 stars plus.

We had a nicely appointed, recently remodeled room in the center of Dijon. The breakfast was first class, one of the best we had on our three-week trip. Eve, the owner, and her staff were helpful and informative. The price and location made for an excellent value and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there on our next trip to Dijon.

Rooms could use some dusting in areas, and the smell of mildew was fairly strong. Staff were extremely friendly, and helpful!

Loved the location to museums, historic buildings and cafes. Old renovated hotel, 18th century (?), next to a university. Nicely appointed but smaller rooms. No elevator. Great helpful staff. Would recommend if you’re traveling light.
