ドメーヌ ドゥ シャトラール(Domaine du Chatelard)

A lovely hotel in a peaceful setting above a large lake which made for a very pleasant 45 minute stroll. A friendly welcome on arrival, the hotel being a comfortable mix of old and new. Room was nice, a good size and modern bathroom. Dinner was excellent, a limited choice (no bad thing) but quality ingredients immaculately presented. Breakfast was good although you had to order the night before. Nice pool but not heated. Didn’t venture in! My only complaint was no kettle in the room. Not many French hotels do - please just do it for us brits! The staff were all great.

We had an overnight stay on a really hot night with two rooms joined by the bathroom as a family suite which worked wonderfully. The hotel was busy but not noisy, which was wonderful in the heat. The hotel is very peaceful and the team was very welcoming and friendly. The pool beside the driveway was good and very much welcomed in the heat. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. It was plentiful and fresh. Definitely worth a return visit.

Beautiful country estate with zero "snooty/snob" makes you feel you are the guests of the owners who live an elegant life here in horse country. My wife and I will always recall lying in our room, windows open to the sound of a gurgling fountain and all that fresh air. Very relaxing. Our dinner in the Michelin restaurant was that rare, tension-free Michelin experience where we could relax and enjoy the Chef's true genius of subtlety, originality and sophistication. Photos of Gerard Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve as guests adorn the walls and speak to the inn's allure. We will definitely be back. - John & Cecile Stubbs

What an incredible place We stopped here on our way home to Paris Our only regret is that we didn’t stay two nights Warm welcome and attention to details Even our dogs were spoiled with their own beds and food bowls in the room A gréât place to relax enjoy the lake and the rowing boats that are available for guests Thé restaurant is not to missed Delicate and surprising compositions for menus that are delightful With an amazing view over the lake Pool perfect size and loungers Can’t wait to go back ❤️

Le personnel est très accueillant. Le domaine est dans un environnement verdoyant et apaisant. J'ai passé une soirée et une nuit formidables avec ma petite chienne qui a été accueillie en princesse : corbeille qui l'attendait et deux gamelles.

Très joli cadre pour cet hôtel caché dans un écrin de verdure, entouré d’un plan d’eau qui contribue à un agréable sentiment de sérénité. Chambres lumineuses et spacieuses au charme quelque peu suranné mais en cohérence avec le bâtiment et son ambiance. Petit déjeuner copieux et excellent avec une majorité de produits maison et un déjeuner tout aussi délicieux et très apprécié par l’ensemble des convives que nous étions.

Durant le séjour tout a été parfait, l'accueil est une valeur sûre, un point fort. La chambre 2 est une merveille avec une vue à couper le souffle. Nous avons longuement profité de la nature environnante avec une vie intense côté faune (canards, hérons, chevreuils, sangliers). Tout le personnel est au petit soin, et le petit déjeuner est une merveille, uniquement des produits bio, locaux voire maison (pains, viennoiseries, etc). Les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathiques et font tout pour que le séjour soit parfait ! Pendant les fêtes c'est vraiment très bien décoré et cela donne une ambiance féérique. Conclusion : on reviendra avec le plus grand plaisir !

Dès l'arrivée nous retrouvons un point fort du Domaine : l'accueil ! On se sent de suite en congés, et vraiment bien reçus. La chambre 11 est parfaite, avec un salon très agréable. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et fameux. Le personnel est aux petits soins, extrêmement sympathique et aimable. La terrasse est toujours aussi agréable, avec une vue à couper le souffle. Le Domaine offre de magnifiques promenades, que ce soit sur ou autour du lac, et aussi en forêt. C'est vraiment très bien fléché et aménagé, très bien entretenu. Les propriétaires sont absolument charmants, extrêmement accueillants et chaleureux, c'est un vrai bonheur de les retrouver. A noter la boutique de l'hôtel qui propose un très vaste choix de confitures, et maintenant aussi du miel local, un régal ! Vraiment merci pour ce séjour au paradis, ce sera un plaisir d'y revenir !
