The receptionist Celeste was our first point of contact and she was exceptional in making us welcome and offering to help make dinner reservations. This turned out to be essential as Domme is a small town with many places closed on Sunday & Monday. But for us, it was a wonderful experience in every way. Our room looked out over the Dordogne river from high up on the cliff. We loved the terrace for late-afternoon drinks, and we ate at Auberge de la Rode, which we highly recommend.

This is my second stay at this unique and wonderful hotel. After reviewing over 450 hotels and restaurants, I only give 5 star reviews to those that are truly exceptional in some way. Here I rated both the hotel and restaurant as 5* for the first time ever. This is owing in part to its amazing cliff top location on the edge of Domme overlooking miles of the Dordogne Valley several hundred feet below (perfect for watching the hot air balloons rise over the hills at dawn. It is owing in part to the amazing half board dinner with three courses of amusement bouche before the entree, between the entree and wonderful plant and after dessert when one was already satiated. But it is owing mostly to the warm welcome of our host and her ever present furry sidekick. I will return again and again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Such a charmign place, family-run, splendid food and wine, I think the cheese board is the biggest we'd ever seen! Views from the terrace over the Dordogne are to die for.

This 3-star hotel was an absolute gem! The view is one of the finest in France! It is a family owned/operated hotel and restaurant. We loved everything about this hotel! The owners' mother even works here! (She's an 84 year old angel)! Well done!

We had a room with breathtaking views out over the Dordonge River and valley. Absolutely tremendous. Beautiful decor in the hotel lounge. Unfortunately the dining room was closed for our night, so we could not sample their highly rated menu. Continental breakfast was a real treat, served in a great setting (with the hotel cat). Very helpful staff.

The best place to stay in Domme. Fantastic views over the entire Dordogne valley. Rooms are beautiful, large bathrooms, no lift, best to leave large luggage downstairs and take an overnight bag to your room.

Nice cozy family run establishment. The rooms are on the small side but A/C works and we had a huge bathroom with separate tub. The location is exceptional and the view from our room and from the terrace was breathtaking ! The only thing that was slightly annoying to us was that guests can smoke at tables outside and while the occasional cigarette smoke doesn’t bother me, full whiffs of cigar smoke while I’m trying to enjoy dinner isn’t optimal. Would recommend and would go back!

Beautiful view of the Dordogne Valley! Comfortable accommodations, and very kind staff. The quaint town is easily walkable. The staff gave us great recommendations for dinner, since their restaurant was closed the two nights we stayed here.
