デア エーシュベルクホフ(Der Öschberghof Golf Resort des Jahres 2024)

From start to finish this property excels at low standards and failure to meet expectations. Check in process was abysmal. No one at the front to great you or assist with luggage. Front desk staff do not provide any information about the property or welcome you. I did notice some having a welcome drink and someone sitting an explaining things, but I guess not all guest warrant this attention. The decor is minimalist and the entire property smells like a man’s cologne. Colors are neutral to drab but on the positive they do have real flowers. Rooms are small for the price point and do not really stand out as far as amenities. The spa and pool area are abysmal. No order of discipline. Kids own the place and there is not an area for adults only. There is no place to really relax and get away from the noise of kids in a pool. Ahh yes.. the pools are ice cold, even the jacuzzi. Who wants to swim in warm water right? Dining…. Limited options. Food was okay, not five star. When we finished my wife mentioned that her dish was supposed to have mango but it didn’t. The waitress didn’t know. Anyhow it wasn’t a huge deal. We left, got a drink, and retired for the evening. I did not appreciate the passive aggressive delivery of sliced mango (unordered) to my room at 930 pm from the restaurant when the do not disturb sign was emplaced. Also I do not appreciate being disturbed at breakfast 1 minute after sitting down by some Euro-trash manager. At checkout I asked for my car to be brought out. Nope… can’t do it so I got it myself . Don’t bother with this property… it’s overpriced and of no value.

Not really a 5 star place of honest. Check in was rushed and not very professional. I saw others sitting and having a relaxing welcome drink. Quite a difference. The shuttle to the nearby town is nice and the staff are friendly and competent. Room decor is nice and the hotel is well appointed. Pool and Spa. Sub par. All the water features are ice cold. Even the jacuzzi… cold. No adults only area…. So enjoy the screaming kids. Dinner was okay, but the food is not as advertised. One dish was supposed to have mango in it., but it didn’t. We pointed this out just to let them know the food wasn’t as advertised. No sooner than we entered our room, they sent a plate of mango to my room without us asking for it. This is passive aggressive behavior. Sad they feel they need to stoop to this low brow behavior. I refused it. It a nice place, but not worth the price point. The service is okay, but I would have rather driven another 2 hours to Schloss Elmau and enjoyed a true 5* experience.

I have stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hotels in my life, but the Oeschberghof has got to be in my top three as far as service and attention to detail are concerned! My two girlfriends and I just came for the weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday and our entire experience couldn’t possibly have been better. As one of my sons is in the hospitality business in Switzerland, I know that such quality service by every single staff member - from the receptionists to the restaurant and spa staff to the bellboys and chambermaids, etc. - is the result of having fantastic management. Thank you so very much!!! The girlfriend whose birthday it was was upgraded to a larger room, but the singles too were wonderful. We received bubbly welcome drinks upon arrival and a lovely young staff member then came over to explain all the details of our stay. The well stocked minibar (beer, wine, soft drinks) was completely free, so we had pre-dinner drinks in the comfortable seating area of my room. The spa was spotlessly clean and oh so enjoyable on both days. Dinner at the Hexenweier restaurant was delicious and the cosy bar with fireplace was great for after-dinner drinks! I will definitely return but in the meantime hats off to the brilliant establishment!

Hotel Öschberghof is nicely located. Has fantastic spa facilities, large swimming pool and many different types of saunas. They have a number of restaurants to choose from, and a great golf course right by the hotel. The rooms are fresh, and the staff friendly. However, during my three day visit there, there were just too many service shortcomings, which is not acceptable for a five star hotel. These included excessive waiting times for food, lapses in the kitchen, ignorance of Corona-hygiene regulations, etc. The staff is courteous, but the shortcomings during my stay, large and small ones, indicate somehow a lack of proper staff training. There were way too many red flags for anyone who might have high standards for their vacation. All preconditions are actually there for the Öschberghof to be a top hotel and offer a pleasant stay, but this is unfortunately not a hotel I will recommend to friends and colleagues.

Für Golffans liegt das Hotel ideal in der grünen Umgebung eingebettet. Daher sehr ruhig und schon die Anfahrt zum Hotel lässt Freude aufkommen. Vor der Tür stehen einige Modelle von Mercedes , die man sich ausleihen kann. Die überdachte Parkanlage bietet reichlich Platz. Der Service beim Empfang bereits herzlich und um den Gast besorgt. Das Deluxe Zimmer ist großräumig und mit bester Ausstattung . Betten von Schramm , tolle Matratzen , Kissenmenü und höchste Qualität der Bettwäsche und Badausstattung. Alles top gepflegt. Wir haben das " Esszimmer " besucht in dem auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Hell , lichtdurchflutet mit Aussicht auf den angrenzenden Golfplatz. Es wird ein Abendmenü angeboten, das man mit der kleinen Auswahlkarte ergänzen oder austauschen kann. Warum aber der Verzicht auf eine Tomatensuppe und Tausch gegen eine Kraftbrühe mit Wurzelgemüse in einer kleinen Tasse mit 5,00 € extra berechnet wird kann ich Angesicht des Preisniveaus bei den Weinen nicht verstehen. Das Gebotene ist aber sehr gut und nett angerichtet. Auch hier bester Service. Der Clou ist aber das Frühstück. Am Wochenende bis 12.00 Uhr kann man in Ruhe und bei aller bester Auswahl in den Tag starten. Hier fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Die Wellnessabteilung sucht Vergleichbares in der großen Region. Allein die Größe des Innenpools lädt bei ausreichend Platz zu schwimmen ein. Alles perfekt sauber und gepflegt.

Vriendelijk ontvangst,  welkomstdrankje aangeboden 1 foutje kamer was om half 4 niet klaar, dus even wachten op sms wanneer wel. Om half 5 toch nog is gaan vragen , ze waren vergeten sms .Ontbijt is heel mooi , uitgebreid. Er zijn 3 restaurants.

Wir kommen gerne in den Öschberghof und freuen uns über sehr guten Service an allen Stellen. Sehr schöne Zimmer, super Personal, schöner Wellness Bereich und abwechslungsreiche Restaurants. Wunderbare Weinkarte. Wir sind begeistert.

Der Öschberghof ist für mich ein perfekter Ort, um ein paar Tage wirklich zu entspannen. Ich war zweimal vor dem Umbau da; schon damals mochte ich das Haus sehr, aber nun ist es noch schicker, noch eleganter, noch cooler. Damals kam ich vor allem für die 25-Meter-Bahn. Der Indoor-Pool ist nach wie vor der größte, den ich in einem deutschen Hotel kenne. Wer sportlich schwimmen will, hat hier gute Chancen, denn in der Regel hat man das Wasser für sich allein ... Mittlerweile gibt es auch noch einen angenehm warmen Außen-Pool. Die Saunen sind superschön. Selbst in Stoßzeiten wirkt es nie voll. Der Service ist im ganzen Haus freundlich, engagiert und individuell. Auf das Öschnoir gehe ich in einer anderen Kritik ein. Das Esszimmer hat möglicherweise auch eine eigene Seite. Aber vorab: Das Frühstück ist der Hammer! Auch das Gym: Beste Ausstattung, es fehlt nichts, was das Sport-Herz begehrt. Zimmer sind saniert, aber die Grundstruktur der alten Räume ist unverändert. Also relativ kleine Bäder. Einziges kleines Minus: Die Heizung/Klimaanlage lässt sich nicht komplett ausschalten. Golf spiele ich nicht, aber wer das tut, wird das Haus noch ein wenig mehr lieben: Zwei 18-Loch-Plätze. Unglaublich. Das alles hat seinen Preis, aber hier habe ich das Gefühl, für mein Geld auch echt was zu bekommen.

Sehr gutes Hotel sehr sauber netter Empfang! Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet und aufgeräumt. Der Sauna Bereich ist sehr empfehlenswert mit Eis Raum und so weiter. Der Poll ist auch schön warm. Sehr gute Pizzeria und Waldstube . Der mercedes den man sich ausleihen kann! Großes Lob
