Hotel Dumaguete

I really wanted to love this hotel. It has so much potential. However,  the constant barking during the night from dogs on the adjacent property is overwhelming. Poor quality windows make it seem like the dogs are barking in your room. If you value your sleep, stay somewhere else.

This place is very different than most hotels not so big. Great customer service amazing food in their little restaurant and two other restaurants located behind this facility a very large swimming pool pool a pantry on each floor at the back of the building a very unique elevator and hundreds and hundreds of hanging plants at the front and the rear of this hotel, very nice. We enjoyed our stay there.

We adore their cabinets which is made of recycled materials. They have a communal pantry which allows us to store food in the fridge and a water station to refill our water bottles. We love the fact that the pool stays warm, I have no idea how they do it but it was refreshing to take a dip even at night. Their customer service is excellent. And probably the best part, their dishes and dessert are a gastronomic delight! Will surely be back for another staycation!

We loved our stay here, very comfy, the staff is very kind and helpful, our trip to Manjuyod sandbar was cancelled last minute (by another tour operator) and they helped us organise it with another one they knew and it was perfect! They have two restaurants just behind the hotel, we tried the one that is open only for lunch and it was very good. The other one (open at dinner) was italian..and being Italian we skipped it but we notice it was popular! They also have another open area with grilled food on the side of the hotel. We used the bar/restaurant inside the hotel just for breakfast and it was good! The pool of the hotel is beautiful !

Friendly and helpful staff. They go the extra mile for guests and ensure a comfortable stay. The amenities are unique and the facilities are clean. Love their sustainable practices. They have a rooftop bar called the pawnshop and we were given complimentary cheese plate and wine.

Some things to know - no bottled water provided in the room - no refrigerator - no telephone in room - mattress is hard as a rock. Horribly uncomfortable - towels are thin and rough - elevator is a joke, so plan on taking the exposed stairs - Noisy to the extreme, both noise from the hall through the super thin doors and tons of street noise. Repeatedly awakened from the noise - shelving is made from cheap unpainted pressboard, the cheapest possible material, it’s so rough in places that you could get a splinter No redeeming qualities. Terrible hotel and it’s overpriced

From the moment we arrived until departure, the staff exceeded our expectations. The hotel's management team is clearly dedicated to ensuring guest satisfaction. The rooms were spotless, and the facilities were well-maintained. Scenic views and proximity to local landmarks made our stay unforgettable. Thank you Hotel Dumaguete, we will never forget our stay ❤️
