"Exceptional all round. There are plenty of 'resorty' set-ups on Harbour Island groaning with people but Eleven Bahamas House is a little oasis of calm and care close to the old town character of Harbour Island. Rooms are really carefully appointed with a settler-era charm. Spotless and very attentive room cleaning and daily set-up. A really nice touch is soft drinks in the chiller and homemade snack on top, refreshed daily at no cost. That's a small detail, small cost for the hotel, but a massive PLUS if you are looking for a hotel that gives you a little more than you were expecting. 5pm is 'Apres' time with small snacks at the bar to accompany any cocktails you order. Nice touch. Lovely pool, courtesy bicycles to help you get around the island. talented inhouse chef and delicious freshly prepared and cooked breakfasts. And finally, they head up to the north of the island for a 10am beach set-up. It's not a beach-front hotel, but the staff clear a lovely (& peaceful compared to the nearby hotels) stretch of sand, layout beds and bring a boombox of tunes and a cooler or two of iced drinks (complementary) to keep you refreshed during the day. You can order food and they will prepare it back at base and buggy it over - nice touch so you can totally looked after for a day at the beach. They've got other kit to enjoy games etc. too. Think they are also a Mr & Mrs Smith recommendation. Deservedly so. We'd never heard of Eleven as a boutique hotel group before but I will certainly look for their properties in future when we travel. So look - all round - straight 5*'s, no chaser. Excellent.
