Lovely hotel Staff all really friendly and helpful Thai restaurant food is outstanding

We went to Seaham with the kids for the glass beach and this was cheap and really really clean which was very good plus the bedroom for us was ample. The food was just outstanding especially the ty restaurant X the kids loved it and the staff was friendly, helpful x thankyou 🥰 xx

Nice boutique like hotel, rooms were nice. Only problem is traffic noise, we had rooms one facing the motorway and the other one also facing road. . The traffic noise were clearly disturbing and the windows weren't good. Breakfasr need to be pre booked and can not walk in which is not convenient.

From arriving we were made very welcome friendly staff room comfortable and Thai restaurant was lovey food hot will be returning breakfast in morning was also lovely and again hot 👍

Came to the North East to visit family and have a meal out. It's quite handy having a great pub downstairs and a lovely Thai restaurant. The rooms are generous, clean and modern. No problems sleeping as the bed was lovely. A little bit of traffic noise at the front, but didn't keep me awake. The staff were all lovely and attentive. Would definitely stay again.

We had lovely 1 night stay here on our journey to Scotland. We booked the family room and it was great, clean, tidy and comfortable beds. Bathroom facilities were great and lots of storage space within the room for bags and bits. Breakfast was just the right amount and delicious. My son who is 8 loved the hash browns and the mushrooms. He asked me to give the whole experience 10 stars! I explained I could only give 5 so he told me to write in the comments. Staff were all friendly helpful and engaging.

The hotel is in a great position just off the A1. The room and bathroom were spotless and the towels were the fluffiest I have had in a long time. Coffee and tea facilities were plentiful with fresh milk and a note to say that should you want more you need only ask. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff some of the most pleasant and amenable I have encountered in a long time. I have no hesitation in reccommending this hotel.

Fabulous friendly , clean and comfortable hotel that was good value for money . It’s a family business so you get a more personal friendly experience . The rooms were spacious with top quality cleanliness and bedding and towels . The beds and pillows were very good quality and very comfortable . The room had ample practical storage space and was well designed . The bathroom facilities were very clean and they provided very good quality white fluffy towels . The hand and body wash supplied in wall pump dispensers had a lovely fragrance and was organic . Lots of different mood lighting , ample plug sockets and good tea/ coffee making facilities . Ample paring spaces . The bar and dining room facilities were also very good and some funky decor added to the experience . I would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future . Location is very convenient in gorgeous countryside and close to lots of towns and cities with good road access .

Spent three days visiting Durham and the surrounding area and used this hotel as a base. We had stayed before just for the one night. The rooms are clean and spacious, likewise the bathroom - lovely fluffy towels. We used the Thai restaurant on the night of arrival, food was delicious and the service good - the staff remembered the drinks we’d ordered in the bar. We didn’t pre-book breakfast but it was easily enough to arrange with reception. The staff who cover breakfast couldn’t be more obliging and always stopped for a chat. There’s plenty of parking and the bus to Durham leaves from just outside the hotel - it’s frequent and runs late. There’s also the option to head to Sunderland if Durham doesn’t take your fancy. Would definitely use the place again

Rooms are a little dated Slightly more expensive than I'd expect to pay for 2rooms B&B £518 Sat &Sun .Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good too. I'd go back but we'd need to negotiate a keen rate ...... .......................... ...................Durham is a fantastic place

What a smashing little hotel, so conveniently located close to the A1(M). Stayed the one night, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and room spotlessly clean. Only criticism, some parts of the furnishings in room and public bar area, could do with some TLC. But highly recommend and reasonably priced.
