This was a truly excellent hotel experience in all respects. The room and facilities could not be better, the views spectacular, the food excellent, the ski bus stops right outside the hotel etc. etc. but what made it particularly special was the extremely friendly staff who made me feel incredibly warm and welcome, and went to great lengths to make sure I was happy and comfortable in all respects. I will most definitely be returning.

The absolute perfect stay for a weekend break! We stayed during the off season so it was quiet and we felt so looked after from the minute we booked, let alone arrived. Friendly and attentive staff, relaxing spa facilities, a lovely room (with the best bath!), and delicious food to top it off!

All staff were kind and very helpful. Room was clean and tidy with plenty of space for the two of us. View from our room was out of this world

The staff at the Waldegg was wonderful as was the view, facilities and breakfast. We travel quite a bit, but will certainly return.

The standout of this hotel is its extremely helpful staff. From the initial check in, nothing seemed too much to ask. As an example, I merely asked where the pool was and the lady gave us a tour of all the SPA facilities, which are very nice. The hotel has been renovated over time so is modern, although the our bathroom was a bit small. We had a wonderful view towards the various mountains and the glacier and a good sized balcony. We ate at the restaurant both nights and were entirely happy. The hotel is a little way up the hill, which suited us, but I did find it a touch too quiet. Just a word on the skiing, the main purpose of our trip, the glacier was nice and challenging and we enjoyed our day, however there are a lot of non skiers queuing in the morning, so a bit of a slow start, once we were up and running everything was smooth. I recommend this hotel for a long couple’s weekend.

I worked with the Waldegg to run a conference for 25 people. The entire process was absolutely incredible start to finish. We could not falter the team for their attention to detail and continuous flexibility, positive approach and ability to act fast on every request big and small. Helpful and continuous communication and the team made organising the whole experience a real dream. 5* service in a 4* body (and the view was magical!!!) Gorgeous food for breakfasts and dinners - our entire guest list agreed. The chef was very accommodating for special dietary requests which we most appreciated. I can't thank The Waldegg enough for their support. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues, and look forwards to many more stays and events here in the future.

We stayed here for only one night (sadly) as we were en route to Greece. What a discovery! A beautiful spacious spotlessly clean hotel with excellent facilities, great views of Engelberg and two restaurants to choose from. We chose the Thai restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff can’t do enough for you and really make you feel very welcome. It’s perfectly located for skiing and winter sports so we’ll definitely be back with our skis!

We absolutely loved our stay here- nothing was too much trouble for the staff (the lady at reception was particularly helpful and friendly although I didn’t get her name!). We had a family room (3 friends sharing), it was really big so plenty of room to spread out. This hotel has the most incredible views from the room, not to mention the restaurant and hot tub- all are mountain facing so it’s a lovely experience sitting in the hot tub looking at the view! The breakfast was fantastic as well, and there is plenty to do in the area which we organised through reception. I couldn’t recommend staying here more- 10/10!
