I recently stayed at Ginger Hotel MG Road Kochi, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. There was no proper welcoming at check-in, which set a poor first impression. The room condition was below expectations — the bed linen had visible marks, the pillow provided looked old, and the towels and pillow covers were discolored. There was also a noticeable cigarette smell in the bathroom, which made the stay uncomfortable. I had to call the front desk three times just to receive a simple brush set, which reflects slow response and lack of coordination. To make matters worse, in the morning there was loud drilling and hammering noise, which disturbed the rest completely. If maintenance work is ongoing, guests should be informed in advance or allocated rooms away from the disturbance. Overall, the stay did not meet even basic hospitality standards in terms of cleanliness, responsiveness, and guest comfort. I hope management seriously reviews housekeeping quality, service response time, and maintenance coordination.
