パーデラ・メノルカ・ホテル(Pardela Menorca)

Lovely little hotel, located in a local area surrounded by nice cafes, and a bus stop 5 minute walk up the road that goes directly to Mao (Mahon). Also 30 minute walking distance from Mahon, it’s a straight road so is easy and straight forward. Room was lovely and modern, had a big double bed and AC worked like a charm. Only thing I was sad about was no full body mirror! Us girls love our full body mirrors! Room had a TV with Netflix which was perfect. Hotel also had a nice terrace roof top if you want tea/coffee or just some simple peace and quiet with fresh air. Overall, check in was super easy. Instructions where given well in advance and easy to follow.

What a great little place I was so impressed from the moment I entered the door, we were given a code to enter the door and get our room key which was all very simple and organised. The room was above and beyond my expectations with a fantastic bathroom and rain shower. There is a kitchen area upstairs where you can make yourself something to eat and a lovely roof terrace with great views over the rooftops down to the harbour and only a few minutes walk down to gorgeous Cala fonts. Last but not least I need to mention the owner Jody she was such a great help with everything and even organised a taxi to take us back to the airport. Thank you for such a great few days we will definitely be back.

I’m not the kind of person who is used to write a feedback nor positive neither negative. However, this time I feel I should. I was supposed to come few days ago but as I tested positive to Covid, I couldn’t. I tried to contact Pardela via email several times but they never answered. That was rather unkind and unprofessional. I finally managed to phoned them and asked if it was possible to change the double room into a a single room -my travel mate was still coming - but they were absolutely strict and categorical. They said I couldn’t ask such a thing since I didn’t have any insurance. I made different trials trying to persuade them that I was not asking for a refund but just a change of room. I didn’t succeed. They were inflexible. All this to say I can’t give my opinion about the location or the breakfast - because I couldn’t taste them - but If you are looking for politeness, professionalism and, mostly customer-caring, go somewhere else.

I should preface this review by saying that my husband and I are 83 and 73! This hotel is set above a pub on a very busy corner near Es Castell Port (formerly Villa Carlos). It is only about a 5 minute walk down a steep hill to the pretty port where there are plenty of bars and restaurants up until October 15th which seems to mark end of season and choice drops dramatically. Our arrival was difficult as we received all sorts of codes to get into the building (through WhatsApp) and then into our room. We spent about ten minutes trying to open front door but eventually an existing resident was leaving & so we got let in by him. Then there was another code to receive your key card from a key lock box. If, you’re a technophobe this place is not for you. I telephoned Clarice who changed the outside door code and so all was fine thereafter. Everything was scrupulously clean and the room was large with a minimalist Dutch/Scandinavian Interior Design feel to it. The pillows were excellent, (something quite difficult to get in Spain), though, I would prefer my bed linen ironed rather than it look as if someone has already slept in it, but then I’m maybe old fashioned. The wash hand basin was also very good, it actually held water. A good shower and supply of Soap, Shower Gel, Shampoo and Conditioner and a proper hand held hair dryer NOT chained to the wall!! Upstairs, on the fourth floor is a terrace with a summer kitchen for the use of residents and a limited Honesty Bar. Breakfast in an optional extra in your room, Toni’s Bar downstairs serves an adequate breakfast but for us Sa Cala on the port is better and naturally has a beautiful view. Of course, most places have pros and cons and Pardela is no exception. We were promised a safe, I would defy anyone to find a safe in our room, so had to walk around with passports on our person for 4 days. There was no water in fridge and having carried two suitcases up 2 floors one needed a drink of water. Towels. I put a dirty towel on shower floor only to find when I returned that it had been hung up on towel hook again. When in the bathroom, you can hear your next-door neighbours do their business and I assume the other way around. Finally, the waste bin, as guests are asked not to throw anything other that toilet paper down the toilet, I was absolutely amazed that the only bin in the place which was in the bathroom was not emptied once in the 4 days. All sorts of toilet wipes were contained in this bin, as I’ve worked in medicine my entire life, I found this unacceptable and very unhygienic. This is an eco hotel and that is most laudable, but. there a few discrepancies that need ironing out….no pun intended!! This is my 13th visit to Menorca, I love the island. However, there is not a great choice of accommodation in the area so close to the Port but Pardela in our opinion is for the younger folk, who don’t mind climbing floors to their rooms, the early breafasters at Toni’s Bar and don

Es un buen lugar, solo tenes inconvenientes para el traslado de cala en cala, porque hay una sola ruta central. Es imposible aparcar el auto por las noches para ir a cenar a algún restaurante. Por lo demás es todo bonito. La gente del lugar es atenta aunque no todos. Hay pueblos hermosos de pescadores.

Chambre très agréable, claire et lumineuse. En plein centre de Es Castell, à 2 minutes du port à pied. Et à 10 de Mahon en voiture. Rue un peu bruyante mais assez logique vu que c'est en ville. Un bon point positif, nous avons pu avoir la chambre tôt l'après midi.

En mí estadía estuve muy a gusto!!!!
