Super 8 by Wyndham Escanaba

The pool and hot tub were closed, which was the reason we choose this location. The room we were given was clearly very heavily used. The bathtub had a wide crack in it that water sprayed down into and the drain was plugged. There was blood on the mattress cover that was exposed because the sheets weren't tucked. The couch in the room was disgusting and broken down and we dared not touch it. We asked to change rooms, and the new room was below a family with small children that ran and jumped around until midnight both nights. The place was almost empty, so why we had to be directly below a family is beyond me. The couch was just as disgusting as the first with obvious stains on it and broken down. The upside was the mattress in the new room was very comfortable. However, I would never stay here again.

The pool and hot tub were out of order. The table and chairs in our room were very rickety and about broken. And our hotel room (and only our hotel room in the whole building) lost power during the night. We were there for the night for work the next day and couldn’t even take showers in the morning and had to use our phone flashlights to use the bathroom. Asked for a refund for our room and and was told had to contact *******. Very frustrated.

The pool room is cool in temperature but the hot tub is hot and the pool water temperature is pleasant. Both are clean and I thoroughly enjoyed both. The place is great for a business overnight stay. Breakfast is good, but get there very early because supply gets low. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet for sleeping.

The place is very clean. That was in the lobby through the hallways and in the room. Thought the price was fair. The continental breakfast was good.

I booked this trip for my parents and they stayed here 2 different days due to travel. Upon arrival the room they were booked in it smelled like someone had sprayed something through the room and it was really hard to breathe. So they asked to be moved to a different room which was fine. Then when inspecting the pool there was sand in the pool and the pool vacuum was sitting in the bottom of the pool/ The hot tub was broken, and the breakfast was very lack lustre. On the way back they went to the hotel area for breakfast and had very bitter coffee, and the breakfast was a pre packaged egg and bacon sandwich. When my mom asked the lady at the front desk if there was any ketchup she very loudly sighed as if it was annoying to help. Then when they went to heat it in the microwave, it was dirty so she asked if it could be cleaned...to which the lady working seemed annoyed again. Do not recommend this place at all. So disappointing!

The staff was courteous. The rooms were ok. No towels at the pool/hot tub area. Garbage was overflowing. The breakfast was barely there. Brown bananas and only cereal and waffles.

Of all the options in the area, we were happy we chose Super 8. It was very clean and a welcoming atmosphere.

Front desk was really friendly room smelt very stale at first improved after air was turned on very lumpy pillows it was clean

Desk staff was great, did not interact with other staff. Pool area was ok, about as expected for a budget hotel but I've seen better. Continental Breakfest was sad. Didnt bother our second morning. May as well not have one. The room (131) was ok. It was clean, housekeeping did a good job prepping it. The bed was comfortable. The couch sagged in the middle but was otherwise ok if old. Other furnishings were in good repair. The thermostat on the AC unit didnt work right. Had it set to 70, came back to a refrigerator. The TV while having 3 HDMI ports and being a roku TV was bound to the cable box on HDMI 2 with no way to change it. Ended up unplugging the cable box to plug in my laptop. The bathroom was small. Hit my head several times on the shower curtain rod which is mounted two low. The vanity is to small, plan on storing your gear under it not on it. Finally the water tasted funny and got worse when chilled. Overall had a good stay but we where out of the hotel most of the time. If we had used it as a stay in vacation spot, I would have been disappointed.
