ウッドビル ベッド アンド ブレックファスト(Woodville Bed and Breakfast)

This was our third stay here in three years, always including the month of August. We have stayed twice for five nights and once for three. And all three times owners and innkeepers Stephan and Desiree have made it a perfect experience, personally warm and friendly and yet unobtrusive, and of the highest culinary level. Stephan is an educated and professionally trained chef, vine grower, and farmer, and Desiree a skilled baker. They keep vegetable, fruit and spice gardens, and chickens and ducks, and generously use all that freshness in their dishes (spices, fruits, eggs, condiments). Now they offer a complementary tasting of their wines. They grow chardonnay, marsanne, cabernet franc, sauvignon gris and tannat in their own 3.5-acre vineyard, and have local wineries harvest the grapes and make their (Woodville's) wine, which they sell to guests by the bottle. At this B&B, a guest may enjoy his own porch for a quiet dinner and/or drinks at any time, overlooking the expansive grounds, vineyards and sunset; sit on the large and gracious main porch enjoying the same vistas; walk the property; enjoy the public rooms (living room and library with games and TV); and of course enjoy the swimming pool garden, which has a clubhouse with bathroom and kitchenette (with refrigerators, icemake, microwave, utensils and beach towels) and even cook there on a grill. The bed was luxuriously appointed in mattress and beddings quality. One may enjoy wine in the bedroom or anywhere in the property. They keep a well stocked coffee station day and night. Cleanliness is thorough. This B&B is perfect for quiet getaways, for visiting the Charlottesville region, and of course as central point to dozens of wineries (we have visited eleven winers in the immediate area, all of high quality). They offer multi-night discounts.

Our visit to Woodville B &B was outstanding! My husband and I have visited many lovely B&Bs over the years, but this has to be the best! The grounds are gorgeous. It is obvious Stefan and Desiree, our engaging hosts, have put lots of thought, love and hard work into refurbishing this 1892 home. The rooms are very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast delicious and plentiful! Sat by the pool and loved the peace and serenity - with the flowers just starting to bloom. Just an amazing getaway!!

A last-minute decision to celebrate my wife’s birthday. At this outstanding B&B, was incredible beyond our expectations! At Woodville B&B, we were totally spoiled by our hosts, Stefan and Desiree. We stayed in the beautiful cabin that had all the possible amenities. The main house is gorgeous. It is tastefully, decorated and immaculate. We were treated to a fantastic breakfast every morning, that sustained us throughout the day. And unusual heat wave that started the day before our arrival caused Stefan notified us that, since the pool was still open, he was turning on the heaters, so we could go swimming, which we took advantage of. Woodville also has excellent wines! They are all reasonably priced. The overall birthday celebration was great, and we had personable, down to earth, hosts that made our stay complete. We will return to Woodville B&B again, without hesitation. Thanks so much again,Stefan add Desiree.

Our stay was absolutely top-notch in every way. Gorgeous setting, comfortable and elegant rooms, a sweet doggie to pet, farm-to-table breakfast and a lovely host. This will be on our list this summer to visit again!

I've run out of superlatives for this place and for our host, Stefan. The expansive home and property makes one feel they've stumbled in to piece of history on a Virginia gentleman's estate, and yet it contains all the modern comforts of home. The coffee was delicious, the food was ridiculously above expectations, the rooms comfortable and spacious, and the host completely gracious and accommodating. Stefan went way over and above to make our party of nine feel comfortable and relaxed, correcting our poor planning with serenity and humor. We booked this place largely due to its proximity to a wedding we were attending, but found it is a destination in itself. Next time we'll just hunker down on the premises, sitting on the beautiful porch, wandering the grounds, checking out the material in the library, and doing more 'wining'. (Sorry, Stefan, now Desiree is going to know you can handle it all without her!)

We stayed for four days in the cottage. What a wonderful experience this perfectly designed cottage has one king size bed very nicely decorated living room a stocked kitchen, a wonderful porch where we could and enjoy the beautiful property. Each morning we were treated to an absolutely gourmet breakfast in the main house. Our host Stephen was welcoming and very knowledgeable of the house the farm the area things to do he was the best. We will definitely be back. This is truly a five star bed-and-breakfast, linda and Jim.

We had a very relaxing stay at Woodville B & B. Our host Stefan was very congenial and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts were unbelievable. We recommend you come.

Stefan and Desiree are the best! They are hands on and there to help with any requests. We so enjoyed our stay there. The accommodations and property were awesome. The breakfast and hospitality were outstanding. We highly recommend this B&B and look forward to tasting their wine!

Wow, we Loved it! The house was spacious, clean and comfortable and the views of the gorgeous property made us feel like we were truly away from it all. I couldn't stop taking pictures. The breakfast was exceptional with local craftsman sausage, eggs from chickens on the property, stuffed French toast with house made preserves, quality coffee... everything and more than we expected. It was apparent that the owner had a background in culinary arts. Furnishings and art throughout the house were authentic and made the stay both welcoming and enjoyable to take in. The on-site vineyard set the perfect backdrop for a delicious complementary wine sampling of various reds and whites. Being just a short drive from downtown made dinner reservations and shop-walking a breeze and returning to relax in the very well stocked library with working fireplace couldn't have felt nicer. We travel frequently and seldom find the opportunity to say everything was perfect but it was exactly what we hoped for and can't wait to book again.
