Had a great stay for the second time already with big rooms and a great pool and Spa area. only issue was that the bedroom didn't have Windows and no one informed about that before. Also there were a few teenagers taking pictures in the pool area and the person on attendance didn't do anything about it.

The one Michelin Star restaurant serves food at the quality of fake necklace at the price of a real one. The truffle on the Rossini steak tasted burned and not all of truffles. The bouillabaisse was tasteless. I had rarely a worse pride to quality experience. Maybe with the exception or the Cipriani in Abu Dhabi. There was no love for the food and I was the only guest. A truly sad story and please avoid the amateurish cooking for a first class price .

Had a junior suite that smelled terribly. Explanation from the reception: yes, that is probably due to the bar where smokers are allowed or it could be the broken air conditioning system. At 10 p.m.we received a new room, a far cheaper 'doppelzimmer', where half of the lights did not work and the interior door did not close. Several drunk guests were staggering through the hallways which gave a very unsafe feeling. Unbelievable but this hotel allows smoking in the open bar, which means that half the hotel stinks of cigarette and cigar smoke. They advertise with 'view on the beautiful castle and the old town' but from our window we only saw a train station and dirty courtyard although we asked for the view on the castle... When checking out they presented us the bill: we had to pay for the junior suite! After much discussion, the price was reduced slightly: we agreed with the little reduction (not conform the website nor ***********) because we still had a long travel ahead and were more than tired of this discussion after a bad evening and night in this hotel. It's scandalous that this hotel dares to call itself a 5* hotel.

Very nice old place. The food was excellent with a good breakfast buffet. The staff was professional and helpful. Parking is available but we came by train. The stop is about 100 meters from the hotel. The restaurant food is expensive but worth it.

If you want to eat dinner at the hotel you have to make reservations way ahead of time. Being a hotel guest doesn't necessarily give you access to the restaurant, had to go elsewhere each night. Staff is not friendly

Pretty expensive. Smells cigars all over the place. Really good breakfast but not cheap, difficult to find parking slots... Pool and Sauna included which is a plus. Waiting pretty long for checkout or parking ticket. Réservation does not always match.

The food was fabulous. The staff were friendly and attentive. The swimming pool was very calming and relaxing. Sadly, due to the fire the sauna was still closed. Was still able to have a very nice massage, but selections are very limited at this time. I had a double business room. It was comfortable but pretty basic. It was very clean. Biggest downside was the bed. I know this is considered an upscale, German style hotel but the bed was just 2 single beds pushed together. And the beds had hard wooden frames so in the middle there was a large separation with wooded framing. I would have at least expected a modern queen sized mattress in this upscale hotel. Also the bathroom door hit the toilet and the bathroom was very small. Non of this was a problem for my stay alone, but sharing with another would definitely have been less comfortable.

Came with a friend to the smoker‘s lounge, where you also can get a full dinner! Some drinks, three course dinner…was really Great! And later with Whiskey a Havanna! Such a pleasant Atmosphere! Will come again sooner than later! Special: Free parking also!
