Waited for a while to check in because the receptionist went out to get lunch… at 3pm? We were fairly laid back about it thinking it was only one blip… once we got to our rooms we were hit with relentless heat and no AC available, just a small fan that barely had any power to try keep us cool, mould around the bath taps and rusty extractor fan, the basin cold tap didn’t work and the plug wasn’t fully functional. There were bugs in the beds and the windows couldn’t be opened wide enough to try cool the room down either, so it was a horrific night. My children kept calling me to tell me that someone was knocking on their door and trying to open the door. They reported it to the desk who said they will check CCTV. Around 11pm we could hear very loud banging and shouting. We also had to pay for parking it is not free.

Overall, the bed was okay. Better than at Cannock on the M6 Toll. The shower pressure continuously drops, and when it returns, the water is VERY hot. There is only one chair at the desk for two people, and a coffee table is placed in a corner. Plenty of coffee and tea available. The carpet looks dirty.

The hotel is average but the charge was a bit high for one night and through the night the room had issue with it.. so at one clock in the morning had to change room due to a leaking toilet through the night got worse..

Very good location, very friendly staff. Just the breakfast need go other side service station.

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable Wished the walls weren’t so hallow… But other than that a great stay

A very basic but convenient little hotel - staff are friendly and helpful, but be aware of the £5 parking charge if you book through a third party site such as Trip

Staff exceptionally helpful. Arrived in the middle of night, very warm & friendly. We came from the southbound m5, the lady at reception stayed on the phone guiding us to the hotel & gave instructions to get back on the m5. The room was very clean & basic but did smell a bit musty but was absolutely fine.

Very convenient as a night stop on my way to site. Found it difficult to find as signs for hotel are not easy to spot at night.

Disappointed at first off when I found out I had to pay a further £5 for parking my car. First appearance was it seemed very dated. The room was ok, bed clean and comfortable, tea, coffee making facilities. TV was a limited on stations, but absolutely no WiFi or if there was it wasn’t available in my room. Noise from the next door room, and from upstairs in particular was unbearable, I think they must have been real heavyweights as every step across their room was vibrating down through my ceiling, and at one point sounded like they were jumping off the bed it was so loud, I actually thought they would be coming through. The bathroom had really seen better days, felt grubby, mould on the ceiling, plugs in both the bath and the sink were old and broken, and the bath itself had seen better days, but on a positive note the towels were clean. All in all I didn’t feel it was worth the £72 plus parking fees and wouldn’t recommend, unless you could get it for less than £40 Max.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and everything worked in the bathroom £ for £ it's was perfect will stay again

Ok for the price, although I was charged extra for parking, which the booking said was included. Bad smell in room, bed not terribly comfortable. Note this is on the Northbound side of motorway. Starbucks, Waitrose and M&S nearby at services
