ナヌク リゾート フィジー(Nanuku Resort Fiji)

The food was appalling. We arrived to a two bedroom beachfront residence that was in disrepair. The jacuzzi didn’t work and smelled terrible because it hadn’t been used for a long time and was grossly unhealthy . The door keys worked intermittently. The sliding doors were jammed and hard to open. The kettle in the bedroom annex didn’t work. The safe in the bedroom annex worked once then failed. The wifi in the bedroom annex didn’t work. When I first booked I asked for separate beds for my two granddaughters but on arrival there was only one bed. When we decided to leave for another hotel we asked to speak to the general manager who took 2 hours to arrive. He was very apologetic and assured us all our money would be refunded. As to the transfer from Nadi to the resort we were advised by the driver that it would take about 90 minutes and it took two and a half hours.

We have traveled to dozens of countries and stayed at hotels from Four Season to Park Hyatts across the globe. What you will find at Nanuku is unique and remarkable. The warmth and kindness of the staff is unparalleled, and the seemingly authentic and genuine manner in which it manifests itself is unlike almost anywhere else we have stayed. This is exponentially true for those traveling with kids. The “buddies” were amazing; our kids cried when we left, and still talk about them now weeks later. Would absolutely recommend booking this resort.

Pros: great facilities and landscaping, nanny club. Cons: every single thing. Food: extremely limited options. Too remote to get outside food. Get ready for french fries and burgers. Also taste-wise 4 out of 10. Services: we did “island-hopping” which included sand bar covered with garbage and private island as well covered with garbage plus back up toilet with no toilet paper. We were served picnic on private island and we asked the staff what they are having for lunch. They said they will have our leftovers at which point we just gave them the food. The price of “island hopping” a whooping $2,900 fijian dollars( around $1,500 us) with average hourly rate per labor $6 fijian dollars. It is truly outrages that for full day(9am-5pm) of outing staff is not provided with lunch. Also the hotel arrange airport transfer for us( around $250 US one way). On a way back our driver (who works for Tenaka company ) was falling asleep!!!! As truth came he slept in a car to save company money and not drive back home 2,5 hours one way and then back in a morning. We were LUCKY to get to the airport ALiVE!!! The careless sleep-deprived driver’s aggressive drive made our daughter violently sick. Driver sat back while my husband cleaned the car!!!! So to sum up we regretted every penny spend at Nanuku. PS the driver drove over a pig on a road and kept going!!!!

Here currently and have to say - never met nicer people in my whole life. I didn't think my kids would care about nanny service 12 and 14 yo, but they loved the whole thing so much and were off with their nanny, fishing, cooking fish, making coconut toffee, and more! Really incredible and so grateful.

We had a wonderful time at Nanuku to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Truly a 5-star resort. They paid attention to every single detail we asked for. All the staff were accommodating welcoming, and served us with a smile and love. The food was exceptional. We felt at home. They knew us, remembered our table and food preferences, always greeted us warmly and enthusiastically, always asked about our needs, etc. A few staff, Tomasi, Kelly, Jennifer, Aseri, Josh, Vitinia, Va, Bosoka, Epeli, Jeff, Wendy, Merie, Vereti, and Elizabeth made some memorable moments for our stay. We have got lots of memories from the trip. We have traveled to many countries, but so far, this was the best vacation we had ever had. It is genuinely a fantastic Fijian vacation destination with lovely people. We will be back.

Great Resort and AMAZING Staff! To Summarize our trip to FIJI= PARADISE! Fiji was a once in a lifetime trip for us. We highly recommend. It is so BEAUTIFUL, and the people are INCREDABLE. The Fijian people are so happy, loving and kind. "Vinaka" Thank You Fiji

This is one incredible resort, a hidden gem, phenomenal experience full of space, privacy, traditional experiences and the most amazing staff. The beach and snorkeling are brilliant - we even saw turtles just off the beach. The food is next level. Exceptional for multi-generational families travelling together. The rooms are absolutely amazing with your own pool, is truly special. I cannot recommend this beautiful resort enough.

We stayed in an ocean/pool suite and had the most relaxing vacation. It was super quiet and it felt like we had the whole beach and place to ourselves. We would definitely recommend the Nanuku Resort. It was so worth the 3 hour drive. Great staff, very friendly!

What an incredible stay we had at Nanuku Resort! The staff was by far the friendliest and most accommodating staff we’ve encountered. Truly outstanding accommodations and service. We loved our week exploring Fiji and talking with staff. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone!
