There was human poo on the sheets. Mold everywhere. The smell was horrific. We left and slept in the car. The laugh I did have was the breakfast was a half eaten box of cereal…rubbish was left everywhere.. maggots on the cloth in the kitchen sink.

The house is in a rural setting which is lovely and peaceful but 3 km away from any public transport so you need a car or taxi to get anywhere. The manager never even met us to hand over keys they were just left in the door. The house itself is spacious but very dirty and uncomfortable. All the fittings are very tired and worn or not working and in need of replacement. There was thick dust and cobwebs on light fittings, in radiators and in corners. There was mould in all the showers and the shower door didn't shut in the en suite in the master bedroom, shower door seal in twin room bathroom has perished. The wheelchair accessible bathroom was absolutely disgusting, dirty floor, rotten skirting boards, mouldy floor and wall tiles, cold water tap did not work. Not fit for purpose!!! The double bed was so uncomfortable, you could feel the springs through the mattress. Same with the twin bedded room. The curtains had stains on them. All bathroom extractors were covered in thick dust. Cracked floor tiles in the bathrooms. Windows upstairs didn't close and were thick in cobwebs. We struggled to lock the patio door (security risk). There were sticky finger marks on kitchen cupboards, light switches and sockets. All of the cutlery and crockery needed cleaning, they en grained with old food...... Disgusting! This property has great prospects with some major changes. These being changing the fittings, having regular maintenance and someone who actually does the cleaning!! Also needs better customer service with reception staff who are in attendance. Definitely will not be returning.
