ローズ アンド クラウン(Rose and Crown)

This place really isn’t very nice. Old rooms, badly maintained, shower had hair in it when I arrived and all in all: I wish I never stayed there. Location is great and breakfast was average but there are nicer places in the area to spend a few nights.

The stairwell approach to the room was really unappealing with dirty stained blue carpet. The bed was very uncomfortable with either a mattress on a mattress or an extremely soft base. One lamp did not work and neither did the television. The pub toilet was very in need of tlc with black tape around the window. Overall shabby and tired.

I have stayed here before, and was quite happy. But not this time. Check in was fine. The room was ok. BUT, my room was above the bar. Lots of noise from below. But at 11pm very loud heavy rock music started up, I waited for another 45 minutes hoping it would stop, but it didn`t. I phoned the out of hours number, spoke to the manager, he wasn`t on site, he really didn`t care at all. By 12.30am the music stopped. Mentioned the issue at breakfast to the waitress, she didn`t seem surprised,she did apologise though . I messaged the manager the next day, no reply.. I will not stay here again.

Wow absolutely terrible, booked the king suite for two nights with breakfast included, after driving for over two hours upon arrival the man showed us up to our room, as soon as he opened the door I was like wow shocked, I asked the man I booked the king suite and he said there is a leak in that room so your in here, discussed to say the least, the carpet was stinking blue and all stained, the handle on the toilet door was falling off, the shower was all black mould, the radiator was full of rust and leaking with an old towel wrapped around the leaking pipe, the tv was a tiny 24", we got our things and handed the man his keys back and he was like whats wrong with the room ? Wow what a joke, I would not pay £20 to stay in that room. The pics online the rooms look OK. Definitely not the real pics. Stay gar away people.

We chose this B and B for convenience as we were visiting friends. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was included in the price, this was good and the usual English breakfast. The evening meal was lovely from a good menu.

We watched our ferry move away from the dock as we drove up to the parking lot. We went inside to inquire about the next ferry to Ireland…1am the next day. We needed a room to wait for 10 hours. The friendly lady behind the desk recommended the Rose and Crown, a short walk up the hill. We rented a small room which had an updated bathroom w/ shower and a comfortable bed. After a walk on the nearby jetty where the last invasion of England took place in 1797, we ate dinner at the Rose and Crown restaurant. My wife had fish and chips and I had the meat pie of the day. Both were excellent. A great dessert followed. As it turns out, we were both happy we missed the ferry and were able to experience the Rose and Crown.

I had two stays here recently and was very impressed with the value for money, costing under £50 per night. The rooms were immaculately presented in tasteful white, grey and teal colours. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included and served in the pub below. Vegetarian cooked options were available. The rooms were the best price I could find for B&B in the Fishguard area and there was no compromise on quality. Definitely would book here again when using the ferry. They are happy to do late check-ins for those arriving on Stena Line, by prior arrangement.

exceptional stay and it was unfortunately only one night so we could catch the ferry to Ireland. It is just up the road from the train station and the Ferry so ideally situated for that. The room was exceptional, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were amazing from book in to book out. Had breakfast and dinner and food was amazing. Highly recommend Rose and Crown.

Very nice pub, fabulous food and superb spacious room. Super king bed extremely comfortable, modern and clean furnishings and super warm. Tea/coffee making facilities in room, decent size tv on wall in room. (Room 3) good variety of breakfast and staff are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. Highly recommended
