Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel

Hotel is tired. Check in staff were excellent. Bartender/waiter in bistro at night clearly had better things to do than serve customers. The gentleman that actually brought the food was terrific. Pretty sure out g&ts were watered down.

There for a pre-cruise night. Ugh. Musty smelling room, awful mattress and bedding, elevators that didn’t work so you either had to take stairs or hope to use freight elevator when possible. The whole place just looked super tired and sad. I went in with low expectations and even those weren’t met. Glad it was for one night.

Sheets were too small for the bed, so I did not sleep well. For $350 the sheets should have been right. Only one elevator was working. So it was a 10 to 15 min wait each time you needed to use. But the service elevator was working and you don’t have access to it. Tried the stairs they lead you outside so now you walk around the building to get to the lobby. I’m older and handicapped I can’t do this mess. Thanks for not much

We were delayed getting to the Hotel for check in due to traffic. I spoke with the manager around 2pm on day of check-in and they stated there would be no problem getting there later. We got to the property later that night and they gave our room away to someone else. We were left without a hotel room due to this happening. We will tell everyone we know never to book at this property in the future.

I booked this hotel to stay for a few hours before my flight at night after disembarking from a cruise trip. Paloma is amazing. She helped me with the early check in with ease and swift, without any hassle. The room is clean with a great city view. The early check out was equally painless and practical. Thank you for investing in such amazing human resources! Will definitely stay in this hotel again for my next cruise trip!

Reception person appeared disinterested and not pleasant. Hotel is in urgent need of maintenance and repair. Garden requires care. Large iguanas in swimming pool area are very concerning and makes time at the pool unpleasant. Pool area needs much work. Pool situated beside noisy busy road.Very little service at food and drink counter. Long waits - extra staff required. The photos published appear better than how we saw the hotel. Management need to spend money on various reburbishment aspects. Long overdue. A grossly overpriced hotel for what it is.

The plumbing was an issues as it was loud and woke me almost every night. Bathroom tile had mold.

I have in my preferences that I need away from the elevator and feather free (I have an allergy). They put me directly in front of the elevator and it took an hour at 10 pm to get the pillows. I woke up with a rash. They’re not very accommodating and more interested in making money off the guests.

If you you like vintage 70's and shabby not so chic this is the place for you.
