コイ コイ カルチュラル ビレッジ ホテル(Koi Koi, Fort Portal)

The good - the rooms are clean, the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The location is ideal - close to fortportal and most attractions. The bad - the service and the food is poor. For breakfast, we were service Chapati, potatoes and bread. Heavy on starch and limited healthy options despite fortportal being a basket of healthy food. The garden is full of all kinds of herbs but plain water and a tea bag were what was offered for tea. The following day, we were served raw pineapples. There’s need for a more diverse team in management as hotel and restaurant is run by males. Perhaps this explains the lack of attention to detail and client service. The manager is hardly available to interact with and meet guests. I also noticed that the owners only respond to positive reviews and do not address reviews that call for improvement. Despite the calm and serene location, we shall not be returning to KoiKoi.

The rooms are spacious and colorful with soft beds and a nice bathroom with shower. Our room had a balcony with a table and chair. A real nice place to relax and the grounds have lots of vegetation. The staff were very friendly and did their best to look after your needs. Food was delicious, with big portions and the included breakfast was filling. If given the chance we would go back. We booked 5 rooms as there were 8 of us. Very reasonable price

I stayed here as part of a tour in Uganda. Arrived late at the hotel & in darkness. My bedroom was large & comfortable. The lighting to walk from my room to dining area was poor. Advise to take a torch. The grounds were very beautiful.

This a nice hotel with beautiful grounds. As is usual in Uganda, the staff was excellent. Great bathrooms with good water pressure and hot water. We run into a few problems. The manager was always busy chatting with staff. We tried to eat dinner but after 2 hours our food still had not come so we gave up. We had a huge storm and lost power. No flashlights and the outside lighting didn't work so we had to walk a long way in the dark through the gardens. Also, our room had about 10 sheets of toilet paper and no extra roll. They are definitely lacking attention to detail, but the hotel is beautiful.

Good service and beautiful gardens filled with an unusually good variety of flowering plants. We just stopped by to have a look around and drink a fresh juice. Staff were attentive and we were served quickly. We had a tour of the banda-type rooms, which we liked. Very spacious, clean, each with its own modern fitted bathroom and separate balcony. This would be a good place for groups to stay especially if hiring conference rooms. There's a tiny chapel in the gardens. Kids’ activities (a zip line?) was being constructed at the time of writing. The fashion/ gift shop sells high quality products. I'd like to stay here if I was hosting one of my digital marketing training events. They have two venues for meetings / conferences.
