We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Octant! The hotel had the most wonderful staff - very friendly and helpful with information about the island, including dinner recommendations! Rooms were clean and pretty - and the pools were delightful! We would definitely go back!

We had a fantastic time staying at Octant Furnas. Everything was excellent! We've lived in different countries and have travelled extensively and this was one of the best hotels we've stayed at. From the check in to the organising of activities, everything was fabulous. We'll certainly come back!

I had a wonderful stay at the Octant Furnas. The thermal pools are a very special experience for body and soul! I also really enjoyed the room (I stayed in one of the rooms with access to the pool on the patio). I would also like to give special thanks to Bianca at the front desk. Every time I had a question or need, she was so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She is an incredible asset to the Octant! I used room service, and it was great as well. Every guest with whom I interacted during my stay also seemed to be relishing the hotel. This is a very special hotel in a beautiful location - do not hesitate to book a stay at the Octant!

This hotel is outstanding. The town and location are perfect. It is easy to travel anywhere on the island. However, the real beauty is once you check-in. All of the staff at the front desk, as well as the breakfast, restaurant, and bar staff, are fantastic. I eagerly await my spa treatment tomorrow! Breakfast is included with many delicious options. After a long day of hiking and exploring, you can come back and relax in the outdoor or outdoor pool. Both pools are warm and wonderful, and there is also a sauna to enjoy. I highly recommend this hotel!

The property overall takes the design cues from the nature that surrounds it which makes it feel of-place. The room has nice and thoughtful decor. The pool areas are nice but can get crowded late afternoon or early evening as people check in and go straight to the pool. The pool water is filtered hot spring water so it doesn’t smell. The indoor pool is a comfortable temperature, the outdoor pool isn’t heating and is a refreshingly cool temperature for a hot day. The bed was comfortable. The place is quiet, there is a little little road noise but it’s not a big deal. The breakfast was great, there was a large selection (too many to list) and all the food was good quality and taste. There is tea available in the lobby. There were bikes available to rent by the day of half day. The shower in our room overflowed onto the floor each shower; we told the front desk but they either didn’t do anything or couldn’t do anything about it (not sure which) but they just gave us more floor towels.

Highly recommended and for both locations. Friendly staff. Upscale property. Very conveniently located.

We had a very wonderful stay at Octant-Furnas. It is a lovely hotel. The spa facilities are great, including the hot pools and sauna. We had a reflexology session and a facial which were terrific. (Make reservations, even in non-peak season.) The staff are very welcoming, gracious, helpful and informative. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is FABULOUS - so many delicious and varied options.

This hotel was absolute perfection. We had a terrace pool room for 2 nights but found ourselves wishing we had stayed longer. Everything from the check in process on felt luxurious and relaxing. A welcome shot of pineapple liquor, bottle of sparkling wine sent to the room. The best hotel robes I’ve ever had plus the adorable complimentary hats. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant but breakfast was excellent and drinks at the bar were lovely. And then there’s the pools and spa. Our private pool was perfectly warm and so relaxing. The main hotel thermal pool is amazing and the smaller hot and cold pools was exhilarating. Extensive spa services and Turkish baths were the ultimate indulgence. The hotel location is walkable to much of the popular spots in Furnas. Beautiful gardens and caldeiras are right outside. We will dream about this hotel until we return.
