ホテル ラ ブッソラ(Hotel la Bussola)

Looks great on website but a close inspection shows a bit of tender loving care is needed. Situated in a nice residential area next to a supermarket. The staff were very good and could not do enough for us. The room although spacious with a large bed was a bit tired looking. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room although there were vending machines on the ground floor Breakfast was good with a large selection of food. On the web it indicates a restaurant but this was not open at all! In addition there was also no bar!

The hotel was choosed due to the location near the beautiful lakes in north Lombardia and other beautiful towns. We staid 7 days with HB meals of good quality and variety. The reception and halls were like a museum decorated with vintage objects. Hotel clean but noisy due to the very poor insulation of the rooms. We had bad luck 2 nights with 2 different groups of italian teenagers makeing much noise, acting like hooligangs and the people in reception were of not much help, unfortunately. However, our stay there was pleasant except the remark.

When in Novara, I always stay here. I used to visit Novara once a month for about a year and I have tried about ten different hotels, all recommended on various sites. This is the only place I will stay at. Sure the decorations are eclectic and the bed pillows are big, but the staff is fantastic, location unbeatable and breakfast suits most tastes, from southern European with sweeets and strong coffee to Northern European with eggs, hearty bread, cold cuts etc. My home in Novara

There was mix up with booking when we arrived but that was sorted with an upgrade. The suite was very nice until we found we had no hot water. Down to reception to be informed that as mainly business hotel hot water is switched off during day (Do business people arriving in day never want to freshen up?!) Anyway was then switched on and told we would have hot water in 5 minutes. We wanted to leave early morning as had long drive so no hot water again. In my many decades on travels this is a first. Bizarre.

Limited dining service and variety. Limited hours of hot water for shower. Excellent service otherwise, clean place and friendly staff, good location.

I wish the dinner service in hotel restaurant could come back.

Stylish and clean place. However, the restaurant operated with various limitations due to the pandemic conditions.

Nice hotel and we stopped off for a day on the way to Malpensa airport. Very helpful receptionist who gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to see and some suggestions for restaurants which we took up and ut was a lovely meal.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo per un evento sportivo. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. La struttura è accogliente, pulita, calda, arredata con amore. Elisa della reception gentile disponibile e professionale. Aziz ci ha accolto nella sala ristorante con un'ottima colazione e tanta simpatia. Se torneremo in zona ci rivedremo sicuramente.
