We were unable to stay at the hotel because we were unaware that Gangtok/Sikkim is a restricted area for some foreign-born travelers. Since I was born in Tibet and my birthplace is clearly mentioned on my ID, I was not allowed entry at the Sikkim border. I booked the hotel through Trip.com and did not know how to request a refund. I contacted the hotel for support but unfortunately did not receive much help regarding the refund process. My disappointment is not about the hotel’s hospitality, but the lack of understanding and assistance in this situation. For anyone holding citizenship from countries such as Australia, USA, Canada, etc., if your birthplace is listed as Tibet on your passport/ID, please make sure to apply for the required Sikkim permit/visa in Delhi before booking accommodation. Otherwise, you may face entry issues at the border.

Great hotel situated in a peaceful location about 20 minutes walk downhill/ 5 minutes cab from MG Road area. Options for mountain view rooms with balcony for calming views. The staff are really attentive and welcoming. Has a pool and outdoor dining area. On the minus side … bathroom shower curtains need a good clean and towels + bed sheets could also be cleaner

Amenities available for name sake. Power was cut for 2 hrs at night. No proper room service. No mineral water for drinking. Basically an average hotel with amateur service staff.

This was our second stay at Tempo heritage resort and spa gangtok . We stayed in the super deluxe room, which has a balcony and a direct view of the mountain . Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful and kind staff. Made use of their fitness center (tempo gym) had a fantastic time even the food was good and tasty throughout our stay compliments to the chef.

The place was beautiful! It was a really great deal for the price. It was away from MG market so, you weren’t disturbed. The staff were very polite, food was good.

I recently booked their premium rooms (super deluxe ) and trust me that the room view was awesome woke up and opened the balcony door and fresh air with breathtaking mountain view with no obstruction . The room service was on point and the check-in and check-out process was very smooth and talking about the food it was delicious. Every dish I tried during my stay in the hotel was amazing and the staff specially that of the restaurant were extremely co-operative and friendly. Had a great experience and will highly recommend to everyone who want a memorable stay in Gangtok , mind you they have nice facilities too
