ドナウ ロッジ Ybbs(Donau Lodge)

I stayed one night with my wife who is using a wheelchair. This hotel was recommended by our son and was in all aspects perfect. We had a huge room with a balcony overlooking the river, absolutely no problem with the wheelchair, and an excellent breakfast. We could park just a few steps from the building. In summary : excellent value for the money.

Donau Lodge is located a bit away from main Wachau region attractions, but it is a great ending or starting point should you need to explore the region. Hotel location at the end of Ybbs town, literally next to the river makes it a unique calm place. Rooms - do yourselves a favor and book the ones facing Danube - are modern, spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are perfect. Breakfast rich and people of hotel will make you feel more relaxed than the place will already make you do so. Take a walk to the river side. Enjoy the view. Reduce speed and keep the memories!

Beautiful place right next to the river. Rooms are really nice and the view is priceless. Ideal for a getaway or romantic weekend. The staff is really friendly and the price is decent. Will definitely come back!! You won’t find a better place to stay in the area.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged to stay at. Modern building which only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms and high quality service. Delicious breafast, restaurant type lunch and dinner. Exceptionally friendly staff! Amazing view on the Donau, relaxing atmosphere - they keep the highest level of service!

We were double booked to a room and got a call that the hotel gave our room to another couple that walked in 15 minutes before we checked in after 4 hours drive to the hotel. They blamed booking and took no responsibility. It was after eight PM so we did not have any other alternative in the area to spend the night. They gave us a room in another guesthouse with a much lower grade, faculties no view and no balcony in older and smaller room which was not in any way suitable. They did not want to compensate us in any manner accept for charging a lower rate (that was higher then the price on booking for such room !!). It is the first time that I see that kind of hospitality and service level. We understood that they are going to compensate us with dinner but found out the next morning that saying that the reserved us dinner meant that they are going to fully charge for that as well. We are not sure if we are doubled charged here but it seems that it was not the first time it happens, since they said the system works that way sometime and we were unlucky …

Arrivée en vélo, alors que c’était la tempête de pluie, accueil chaleureux par Klara. Chambre moderne, confortable et spacieuse. Très bon conseil pour le repas du soir. Garage pour les vélos fort pratique et accessible. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner était fabuleux!

Tolle Lage direkt an der Donau, sehr freundlicher Empfang, tolle Architektur, sehr schöne Zimmer, und das Frühstück hat auch rundum gestimmt. Habe mich rundum sehr wohlgefühlt. 2 Dinge fielen mir auf, die meine Bewertung aber nicht schmälern: keine Minibar im Zimmer. Und im Frühstücksraum gibt es mehrere Kaffeemaschinen, die eine von den beiden ist auf einem Auszug montiert, der nicht arretiert. Das sollte vielleicht besser fixiert werden. Danke an das Hotel-Team. Weiter so!

Auweia! Die Frühstücksauswahl auf drei Versionen von € 9,90 bis € 23,90 runter reduziert … die Begündung laut Service wegen Corona … 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sonntag nachmittags zweiter Anlauf ein paar Tage später … nur mehr zwei Toastarten auf der Speisekarte … keine Tapas mehr … machen die so viel Arbeit??? Na ja … sorry … aber die Lage allein wird auf die Dauer nicht reichen! Corona klingt ab … strengt euch an, sonst sehe ich a la long schwarz!
