Hotel Bergwelt

Had lovely 6 night stay at Hotel Bergwelt recently. Transfer was One and a quarter hours from Innsbruck airport by car but can be done by bus and train . Passing through the busier Solden in the valley below.I booked a single room as meeting friend in the town and was a little last minute booking. Lovely friendly meet, on arrival offered a drink and snacks given and bags taken to room while I sipped the drink and took in the panoramic views. Single room was adequate in space and clean and quiet. The food for Half board was truly wonderful, great service by all staff, shout out to my waiter who was always welcoming and helpful and attentive. Good choice of wine with some personal recommendations on Austrian grape types. Spa area was good, enjoyed the outdoor pool and the adults only sauna and steam rooms .A good chill out after a days skiing.Last day had a pleasant massage in spa which would recommend. ski hire shop literally 50 m from lower garage exit. only 20 m walk from ski room to be able to put skis on and ski down to a drag lift and then ski down to a main gondola. The ski bus can take you down to Solden which we did on couple of occasions,Town and apres ski are little younger and more busy. Hochgurgyl ski area reached by gondola traversing mountainside. Sunny in morning Hotel central to town ,short walk up. Would return to Hotel ,without hesitation.

Great ski accommodation in a lovely resort. Everything has been thought of in this family friendly hotel. Would love to return. All the little extras like welcome drinks to departing gifts made you feel very welcome. Impressive spa and treatments were well received for skiers and non skiers alike.

This was our 2nd stay at hotel Bergwelt. This time we booked direct vs via a travel agent. We received a warm welcome, rooms are well appointed. The food is excellent and a mix of buffet and table service food. The restaurant manager is great and very welcoming and entertaining. Bar area is great serves food around 4pm post skiing snack. They also have live music one night I think which was good. This is a very family friendly hotel the kids have the own buffet, the kids club is excellent and all of the staff go out of their way to make you welcome. Pool and spa area is great after a days hard skiing. All the spa upstairs is for kids and adults - pool indoor and out door, hot tub and sauna. Downstairs is just adults. The hotel is about a 3 min walk from where you can put skis on and ski down to the town centre. To get back you can either ski back down an easy blue run or call the hotel and they send the mini bus to collect you from the town centre. Ski rental is across the street from the hotel. Lift passes can be arranged at the hotel. This is simply an excellent hotel we will be back again - we highly recommend it.
