The Minns Cottages is owned by the Minns Family who is one of the oldest Bahamian Family names in the Bahamas. The cottages have the real Family Island charm where guests are coming as guests but leaving as Family. We now have Starlink and IPTV in all the cottages so you can watch your favorite sports game or movie in the comfort of your cottage.The Minns Cottage is conveniently located within one mile from George Town. You are less than a 10-minute walk to the food stores. The Cottages are located across from the beach, and they are fully equipped with a screened patio, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, TV, Internet. We do have a communal outdoor BBQ and laundry room with washer and dryer. We also provide beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels and coolers. Each cottage will have 7 garbage bags, two rolls of toilet paper, joy and a roll of paper towel. You just need to bring your own washing detergent. There are many activities within walking distance restaurants, straw market, water taxi, government offices, library, schools and much more. All cottages have enclosed screened patios and Air conditioning units in the lounge and bedrooms. It is a 15 minutes' drive from the International Airport (GGT). The property is cleverly separated into 2 buildings which are about 10 metres apart. Building A has 4 bedrooms and building B houses the club area for recreation, kitchen and laundry. Because of the strategic separation the late risers will not be disturbed by those who wish for an early start and at night the party people will not have to feel guilty of disturbing those who need all the rest possible. Building A is 2 levels. Each level has 2 well appointed bedrooms. Each room has an a/c unit with ceiling fans. (Standing fans are available on request). Each room contains a queen as well as a double bed. The bathrooms each have a shower, toilet and double faucets.Building B. The club house has a large recreational space with a powder room attached. The kitchen is large with stove and oven, along with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crockery and utensils. The laundry has a commercial sized washer and dryer. Because of the elevation of the property with the large verandas/patios, whether in the bedrooms or club house you will be blessed with amazing views. There is a swimming pool available. THE LOCATION of your vacation home on Exuma is extremely important to the enjoyment of your trip. When your whole vacation is within 5 minutes of the house, your vacation explodes with choices. Unlike most rental homes that have no walkable restaurants or boat lift and require very long drives down the winding two-lane road just to get to a grocery store or rental boat, Summit Exuma is set in the island’s most coveted area atop the hotel district just outside Georgetown.

• The popular Fish Fry, home to 12 authentic Bahamian bars and restaurants including Shirley’s is a 1/4-mile to the right/south.

PRIME ISLAND MEATS, 3 miles north of Summit, is our first and best choice for food. It is owned by an immensely helpful guy from New Jersey. It has freshly imported meats (steak, chicken, pork, lamb, sausages) and seafood, as well as other grocery items like fruits and vegetables. They offer call ahead ordering. They are closed on Sundays.
Convenience Store: SMITTY'S (basic food, liquor and pharmacy) located 3 miles north of Summit.

They are closed on Sundays.
