We loved our stay at the Cornucopia. Lovely friendly staff, delicious food, and very pleasant, quiet surroundings. Two very nice sized pools also that were very clean and attended to every day. We’re not ones to sit round the pool, we like to explore so hired electric bikes, ( still had to use our leg muscles though!) to get up the hills, and got around the whole island very easily. Make sure you get gel seats, or your trochanters will be throbbing! Ouch! We enjoyed “ Victoria” the capital , which was buzzing. Visited the citadel, which was educational. We had a multi ticket so we could pop into the various exhibits. I think it’s the best way and works out cheaper. Our room at the cornucopia, was very clean, comfy beds, kettle, and little fridge was very useful. We preferred to have our towels changed and room tidied twice a week, ( think of the planet folks!) It’s a short ten minute walk to the nearest little town, where you can sit in the local bars, and restaurants Visit the church its spectacular, and the “Xaghra caves” and hear the history of them, from the dearest elderly camera shy ladies! They’ll even show you how to take the best photographs of the stalactites! All in all we had a glorious, quiet, relaxing, week in Gozo. It was pleasantly warm, we could wore shorts but a hoodie on the bikes and needed warmer clothes in the evening, but it was April. I’d definitely like to go back, despite the faff of getting ferries and taxis and would definitely recommend it to those who like a bit of refinement and peace and quiet!
