Путешествую по Европе и это был лучший отель и номер. Выше всех похвал. Чистота и уют на 10 из 10. Завтрак замечательный, в общем уезжать не хотелось, был как дома. Но впереди ждет Люксембург, правда ночевать буду в Мец, так как в Люксембурге очень дорогие отели, а я еду дальше в Страсбург) Рекомендую отель смело! Лучший!

Staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Sandra and Michel went above and beyond. Good location, 15 min walk to centre. Secure parking available. Nice breakfast. Room was a little dark but clean and had everything one required incl hairdryer.

Pleasant modern aparthotel, an easy walk from Dampoort Station and about 25 minutes' pleasant walk from the central old town. Only 4 stars as our room did not have a microwave, which I understood was standard in all rooms. However, the room was at the rear, overlooking the garden area, and was very quiet. The breakfast included was excellent, far better than offered at the likes of Premier Inns or Beefeaters in the UK. Plentiful fresh fruit salad, fruit, croissants, breads, bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs, cereals, yoghurts etc. All areas scrupulously clean, reception very helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

We spent 5 days in Ghent. We really enjoy our stay at this hotel. It's about 10'-15' walk to the touristic areas of the city, but with plenty of buses and trams to go anywhere in Ghent. Clean, quiet, spacious one bedroom apartment, with everything needed to for a nice long stay (refrigerator, sink, dishes, utensils, cooktop, coffee making machine, etc.) Bed was great, the couch was also great. Clean bathroom, with a very good shower. My only negative thing to say is that the towels were a little bit thin. The breakfast buffet was fine, with a good selection of fruits, hams, cheese, etc. The staff was very friendly. We ate once at the hotel's restaurant, downstairs, Dali. We liked it. They have a daily special, which was not bad. And, again, the waitstaff was very friendly. We'll stay again. Well done, Aparthotel Castelnou!

The lady at the front desk has been super helpfull and polite , its my one of the best hotels when it comes to employee & service

Lovely quiet place to stay, slept better here than anywhere else I've stayed on holiday. I liked that it was quiet, comfortable, clean, and it had a separate bedroom. The staff organised wheelchair hire for me which was ready to collect from the chemist opposite on the same street. Only a small fee is charged for wheelchair hire in Belgium which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff are lovely and very helpful. I took my blue badge and parking with this is free in certain areas, just print out the necessary translation, before travelling. And display on the dashboard next to the blue badge. We decided to stay in an aparthotel so that I could prepare my own breakfast as I have many dietary requirements, mainly coeliac and dairy intolerance. But also a few more. We ate one evening meal here, but the server was a little blasé about my dietary requirements and served me a bread roll not gluten free with dairy spread, when I asked if it was gluten free and dairy free he took it away and brought back a gluten free bread roll. So err on the side if caution if this applies to you. My only option was chicken with chips. Nice but excessively overpriced for what it was plain chicken and just chips. Dissapointed with evening meal, so ate elsewhere other nights. Breakfast. First morning my husband brought food to the room for me, a banana and 2 cups black coffee, which is my choice luckily. The milk provided was vanilla, not a nice choice for breakfast, so I gave that a miss. Gluten free bread was available but not a lot to go on it. Admittedly I only went down to breakfast one morning as I have chronic fatigue, so mornings are difficult for me. The choice for breakfast I found to be the same on inspecting the choice for myself so I again had a banana and black coffee which was a really great coffee, i love strong black and it was. On other mornings I made overnight gluten free oats with soya milk ( which we bought from shop) I was happy to be able to eat and be able to prepare food for myself. In the room. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did we both. I would stay again. But I would skip meals. For our stay I would definitely recommend to others,

Stayed for 5 days and would have to say it is the friendliest hotel with most helpful staff we have experienced. Large rooms, spotlessly clean and amazing breakfast included in price. Catered for gluten free ( if advised beforehand) with a special plate of rolls and pastries brought to table. Ghent itself is the best treasure (the Ghent Alterpiece 16E tour essential) but also a good base place to stay for train trips to Brugge, Antwerp etc. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Gand Dampoort station and also a 15 minute walk to historic centre. But it’s a nice walk along the canals. Also a bus outside hotel for 2.5 euros if desired ( or reception sell 10 tickets for 17 euros for buses and trams). We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are fit enough to do the walks to station or town or have a car. Don’t miss the little hidden market just a few hundred metres away with wonderful local produce of fruits veges cheeses coffee and cakes. The hotel has cooking facilities in each room if needed

We used the restaurant and the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The lady on reception was extremly helful, showing us the best route to walk to get to the main attractions. Unfortunately, it was a bit too far for me to walk as I use a walking stick. She then shown us where to catch the bus, just round the corner, and wrote on the map the names of the stops. She also told us about the boat trips and that you pay less if you are over 65. The boat trip is well worth going on.
