Nice quiet location and only several minutes walk from Oran Mor venue where we had tickets to see a band. We arrived after 3pm, check in was very easy and we were lucky and got a parking space for free in the hotel car park round the back. The entrance to the Carpark could be easily missed as it is very narrow with wheelie bins lined up along it and could easily be mistaken for a private little driveway or a service entrance. The car parking round the back is extremely small and tight and I would recommend reversing in to a parking bay, if you can, which makes it much easier to come out of. We entered the hotel from the Carpark, as we were in room 18 which was in the annex part of the building. We couldn’t get a double room so had to get a triple room. This was on the ground floor facing the front and right next to the left side front door of the hotel. The room itself was clean, very spacious and had 3 single beds (two were pushed together), a shower/toilet room, built into the bedroom, TV, the usual complimentary tea/coffee etc (we took our own tea bags, milk and biscuits), bath towels and plenty of wardrobe hanging space. The window looked out onto the street which had no through traffic at all and was extremely lovely and quiet overnight, but it did snow which probably added to the silence outside. The radiators were off and the room was a bit chilly so we had to turn them on and set them ourselves, there was no teaspoons to make a cup of tea so my Husband had to go to reception to ask for them as there is no phone in the room. There was no little bottles of shower gel or shampoo (which we have always had in every other hotel we have ever stayed in), and this just happened to be the very time I did not bring our own. They did, however, have a shower gel container on the wall in the shower which was nearly empty and the same beside the sink, there was no sink tumbler/glass to use to rinse your mouth when cleaning your teeth., extremely basic which, for the money £188 for one night, was so disappointing. The door stop behind the toilet door was deeply rusted (the whole thing) and looked disgusting and very unsightly. The beds were relatively comfortable but I did not sleep well as there was a loud beep beep beeping coming every 3 seconds from what looked like an alarm above the hotels front door just outside our room. Nice quiet convenient location, clean and reasonably comfortable, but very little complimentary stuff that tends to be available even in the most basic of hotels and Inns. Breakfast is not included and can be bought for £10 per person, we did not have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Checkout was very quick and easy, but when I gave feedback to the male receptionist, although he did state he would make a note of the things I said, he got defensive about the shower gel telling me that the tiny amount in the shower one would be enough for a few showers, and he said there was plenty in the one by the sink, to wh
