Fifth time back at our fave place in the Highlands. For a couple well travelled and from Scotland this is up there as one of the best we have EVER been too. Situated at the bottom of the Glencoe Valley beneath the summit of Sgorr na Ciche this place is idyllic. The food. Wow !! Sebastian your skills and knowledge of your produce are out of this world and tailor the menu to suit both Heather and my needs to perfection. The staff are so attentive and friendly we will be booking visit 6 just shortly. Keep doing what you are doing. It’s the best bar none Douglas and Heather

This was our first visit to Glencoe House for a family wedding, loved every part of it. The staff were so helpful & friendly, James was just lovely, nothing was a bother to him. The rooms were amazing, comfortable beds & super soft pillows, the food was to die for…great menu to suit all tastes, loved getting everything served to our own dining table & not having to get your own. The views & walks were breathtaking. Honestly I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience, would definitely stay again.

Expectation High, Delivery Very Low - Over Priced For The Service & Accommodation Got the price we were charged we were expecting something amazing. As you drive in, the house is very impressive, the way it stands, architecture, detail etc. The views would have been amazing from our rooms, but were obscure by scaffolding, something we were not told about prior to booking or arriving. If we had known this we would have cancelled. The greeting was OK, but again nothing amazing. We were shown to our suite which at first glance looked great. However we soon discovered that our bed was a zip and link and not even connected/zipped up together! Let that sink in circa £2,000 for two night accommodation and food and we have a zip and link bed, not properly connected or lined up. The TV would not work as it just said loading all the time. We returned after the first night, to find the housekeeping team had left the rubbish from our suite and someone else’s on the desk in our hallway. We also had a guest walking into our suite via a door that had been left open off what looked like a fire escape. The BT speaker did not work and when you went to the toilet (situated directly in front of an unfrosted window, you just looked over some camping pods/lodge type accommodation. All of this was reported to the front desk at the time, they were supposedly going to sort. The only thing that happened was the rubbish was removed. The TV, BT Speaker, Bed and security issue were not addressed. When checking out, again I spoke to the front desk and supposedly the GM was going to call me! Here we are 6 months on and still waiting.

Glencoe House is an outstanding hidden gem. We stayed in Lodge 12 and were wowed by the quality and size of the accomodation. Everything has been thought of and on the one occasion we had an issue (underfloor heating) it was fixed in no time at all. The food left in the fridge and freezer for us to cook for ourselves was outstanding and zero hassle. Excellent hot tub and privacy in the large decked garden area. Staff were consistently attentive when asked, confidently polite and very helpful. Gold star service!! Can't wait to go back.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Glencoe House! This was our absolute favorite stay anywhere, ever! The views from our stunning suite (#2) were the first thing to take my breath away. Absolutely gorgeous & serene views through huge bay windows that brought me to tears while enjoying our first exquisite in-suite dinner. The suite itself blew my mind….a huge living room flanked by a dining bay & a two-sided desk bay. I woke the first morning in our luxurious king-size bed to the gorgeously detailed ceiling & felt like royalty. The modern bathroom facilities were top of the line & including a claw-foot soaking tub with its own private bay window view. Beautiful antique furniture including our own fully stocked maxi bar. Staff were phenomenal, from the kind gentleman who greeted us, showed us all the amenities in our fabulous suite & told us all about the amazing history of Glencoe House, to the top-notch servers who delighted us with fantastic fine-dining service in the privacy of our beautiful suite. The coursed in-suite dinners and breakfasts were phenomenal. The incredibly beautiful Glencoe Lochan (lake created by Lord Strathcona for his homesick Canadian wife & daughter) was just a couple minute’s walk from our room & was so serene & romantic to walk around multiple times throughout our stay. The hot tub on the huge private terrace with such magnificent views was the icing on the cake to this epic experience!

This is now on our regular biannual breaks for the year. The magnitude of the wonderful solitude offered is on a different level. High end quality with outstanding cuisine. Excellent staff and with Sebastian’s cuisine makes for the perfect getaway.

This review is not merely based on the hotel as the amenities and service are beyond excellent. They have really thought of every last thing for guests from snacks to food selections to appliances. The cleanliness and organization was really top notch. Everything in the lodge was of utmost quality. More importantly was the kindness and empathy of one of the employees there…Angela. She really went above and beyond when she didn’t need to. I fell and she took care of me, staying with me almost the whole night instead of going to rest for her following work day. She waited with me in the hospital as she had empathy for my being alone. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am to her. She checked on me all the remaining days to ensure I was ok. Her hospitality was compelling and completely unexpected. I am so thankful to her. This was my first time here but a place I will come to many times again.
