フェルム レス ケーリス(Ferme les Callis)

Hard to put into words how welcomed we felt from the minute we arrived to the time we left. We spent ten days exploring Provence but our three night stay at Le Ferme was the highlight to be sure. Alexandra and Martin are perfect hosts providing a unique authentic experience. Jada provides an exceptional “ breakfast” (reducing the morning fare to one word is not fair) the fresh eggs sprinkled with herbs from the garden, the croisants, cheeses, fruits, james and honey made the start of each day special. After exploring the charming villages in the area we returned to the Farm for a few laps (cold but so reinvigorating) in the calming negative edge pool, then Rosé and cheese (we bought locally) among the olive trees before heading to Gordes for dinner. Remember to play Pétanque (Martin is a great teacher!) on the perfectly manicured court. The feeling you get from this authentically revitalized space is magical… the textures (brick, stone earth), the gardens, and the olive trees and the well appointed guest rooms ( with beautiful views of the countryside oh ya an Mohair blankets) topped off by doting curators/proprietors and staff made for a memorable experience.

L’établissement est remarquablement décoré et tout est de très bon goût. L’emplacement est au top avec des jeux de lumières toute la journée qui confèrent au lieu un côté magique. Ambiance intimiste propice au repos dans un jardin botanique de premier plan. En fin de journée la piscine est là pour dégourdir les jambes même si sa taille et son exposition ne la destine pas vraiment à des journées en mode lézard au calme. Les serviettes pourraient être changées plus régulièrement et après lavage il serait plus approprié qu’elles ne décorent pas la cours. Seul point noir l’aspect sanitaire, personne reput être deux personnes) ne porte de masque dans les espaces communs, aucun respect des règles élémentaires Covid en pleine pandémie… clairement seul la personne qui prépare les petits déjeuners prend ses responsabilités et c’est dommage. Pour les clients… c’est encore plus folklorique… ils n’ont même pas l’intelligence de respecter la personne qui travaille à leur service ! Comme quoi, on peut avoir les moyens de s’offrir un bel établissement et faire preuve d’un manque de respect et d’intelligence rare.
