The best place in Crete! All the staff from the resort is very helpful and all the services is very good. The food is tasty and every restaurant has kids menu. Grecoland is the paradise for the kids, Helena and Veronika are the best animators, they play with kids and have a lot of fun games. I really recommend this resort for families with kids.

I really don’t no what to say about this hotel, from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty from the welcome drinks to cold towels for freshen up with was an amazing touch. Me and my fiancé came for my birthday and we left the kids at home! The food was amazing and I was worried it would be too posh for me as I’m very picky but there was loads of variety! The maid left us little notes every day which made us smile nothing was too much trouble even when I was poorly :( We were upgraded to the white suite and omg the views of the sea were breathtaking. Special thank you for Kostas and Yiannis for arranging the trip for us! The waiter service round the pool was amazing and I don’t think the hotel or service could get any better. We are even considering this hotel for our honey moon or the sister hotel white luxe but we will be back with the children as there is also so much to do for the kids aswell. Entertainment was amazing too live singers and DJ. All in all incredible 5 star hotel and I can’t wait to come back :) Thanks team :)

A truly relaxing hotel from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The staff strive to make your stay perfect in every way and ask for live feedback meaning anything which isn't quite right can be tweaked. Beautiful setting, incredible food and perfect for couples and families, including multi generational families. I would return in a heartbeat! We received a warm welcome from the staff on the steps of the hotel which was lovely. We were then taken to a quiet spot for a personalised check in with Georgia and given a selection of three drinks plus water and iced tea, and a couple of snacks. The views from this area are stunning and it set the perfect tone for what was to come. We stayed in a premium bungalow which is just 60 steps to the sea. It was relaxing listening to the sea before dozing off. Really nice room proportions and the bed is incredibly comfortable, we slept so well. We had a shower and bath which is not all that common these days but all the hotel rooms have both. Really easy to use shower with great pressure and it was nice and warm. There are also two sinks (be careful of the stiff taps), toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion) and amenities. There is a reasonable sized wardrobe with enough hangers for the week if you double up, a laptop-sized safe, coffee machine (2 pods per day), a mini bar which you can fill for a charge, a powerful hairdryer (the cord is very short which means drying the back of your hair is tricky if looking into the mirror!), dressing gown and slippers. There was no full length mirror in these rooms (they do have them in others) and when sitting down on the pouffe by the dressing table, I could only see my eyes upwards. Lots of storage in the rooms but the unit has no handles (it's a push system) and they're not the easiest to access. The bungalows have a little porch area with two chairs and a table plus a drying rack and then there is a small grass area before you reach your two private loungers and parasol. We stayed in room 504 and had the sun on our loungers until mid afternoon. Then we headed to the communal loungers on the grass area in front of our room. If you like privacy, be mindful that these rooms do have people walking past, but it's not heavy traffic and you do have that space between your room and the pathway. We loved being so close to the sea. / Really good food! The buffet area is compact given the size of the hotel and when it's busy, it's a bit of a squeeze but it’s a pleasant atmosphere and unlike any other buffet I’ve been to. If you hate buffets, it’s probably because of the mass produced food and canteen like atmosphere; this is not like that. We're vegetarian and found options at dinner were a little limited. If you enjoy salad you'll love it here and we did enjoy the variety of salads made every day. However, the vegetarian options really need a little more thought. We arrived for late October holidays in Amirandes hotel. From the first impression everything and everyone was super professional and amazing!!! We appreciate the wine at the room and of course the nice spacious bed...!!! Nice large swimming pool but a little bit cold.. The biggest surprise for us was Costas (sports master) cause he made our holidays unforgettable with his perfect character and charm!!! We will be back for sure, we already fix the appointment for volleyball next year with him!!!! Thank you so much for everything!

We loved everything about it - the accommodation, the staff, the food, the location, it was all perfect to us. Starting from the very warm and kind welcome upon arrival to being recognized and greeted kindly at the restaurant, the beach, the bar etc. It was easy to feel comfortable and relaxed in that amazing ambiance. Also the cleanliness of the rooms was great, which is very important to me. We will definitely come back!

I’ve just got back from 5nights traveling solo, staying at the Amirandes on a half board basis. In one word, it was absolute BLISS. I’ve never stayed at a Grecotel hotel before and I really lucked out because this hotel is stunning and the service throughout fantastic. The staff cannot do enough for you. I don’t usually upload pics, but I have for this review as the hotel is just gorgeous. The hotel is a mix of adults, couples and families. There is a giant salt water pool, which I didn’t use, plus kids pool and activities. So although I was traveling solo, I didn’t feel at all bothered by children or noise etc. If anything I found the total opposite, I thought it was extremely peaceful and only ever saw people at meal times. I spent everyday on the sun beds at the beach and whilst they keep a number reserved for those staying in Villas (which I was not staying in), I had no issue with being allocated one. Tip, ask the guys who work at the beach before sitting down, saves any awkwardness, they’re very accommodating. The beach beds are amazing, they’re so deep and comfortable. There is a beach bar next to it and the guys are very good at ensuring you have what you need and your beds are set up how you want. Special shout out to Manolis, Antonis, Giannis, Zenon, Nikos and Stamatis, they are ever so polite, friendly and helpful. They really looked after me during my stay. I had half board which included buffet breakfast and lunch/or dinner. They have an additional 4 restaurants which they will apply a discount for eating there if you choose instead of the buffet. I ate at Blue Monkey (Asian), food was fantastic and Xasteria (Greek), this was superb, best meal I’ve had this year and I love my food. I ate at the buffet the rest of the time and there is massive amount of choice, which is being replenished constantly. Big shout out to Eliza who makes the omelettes at breakfast, fresh on demand, lovely lady and she makes a ‘cracking’ omelette. Considering the hotel was full whilst I was there, the only time the hotel felt busy was in the buffet area and not to a ridiculous level, you can still navigate it easily. All the staff are just so friendly, happy to stop for a chat, which makes the world of difference, especially when you’re traveling solo like me. To show an interest in me and my day, helped me feel not so alone. A big shout out to Alexandros who was ever so kind and friendly. I was originally in a room which I believe is in the original part of the hotel. Very spacious, giant bed and garden terrace with 2 loungers. There was an interconnecting door which unfortunately meant I could hear a lot of conversations from the people next door. Ideal for families or friends, unfortunately not for myself who is a light sleeper. The reception staff were ever so helpful, special shout out to Evgenia who moved me into another room in the other side of the hotel, I believe to be newer. We chose this as our Honeymoon destination and it didn’t disappoint! Wow just Wow!! They have gone above and beyond to give this hotel the 5* luxury feel it needs to make just relax and enjoy the Greece experience. The staff were 10/10 the food 10/10 as the choice was spectacular. There was freshly made Greek salads every meal time and fresh fish cooked on the outside grill, personalised omelets cooked for you each more as requested, just top quality food and always served with great care and attention to detail. We tried the blue monkey twice and loved the Asian food there too. The pool was saltwater and I loved floating ontop on it looking at the clear blue sunny sky. This place delivers the whole package. We enjoyed a week at Amirandes resort, planning to visit Crete but finally never done so since we’ve been caught by the beautiful environment, comfortable rooms and mostly very entertaining sport activities (not having any intentions to do so). Thanks to Kostas and his team, namely Nikki, we had a lot of fun and met nice people, while training intensively at beach volley sessions or yoga/pilates classes. Above all expectations, we tried something new as a couple and individually (trampoline fitness), feeling fully relaxed and recharged. Kostas made our week unforgettable, we look forward to getting back !

This is a boutique resort just outside Heraklion. Restaurants are great and easy to book, dine in a Greek taverna or surrounded by Pablo Picasso ceramics, as well as a relaxed buffet offering. Pool is huge and if a bit of peace and quiet is wanted the garden loungers offer a beautiful view. Everywhere is exceptionally clean, the gardens are immaculate and the staff delightful.

Just spent a week at Amirandes with my wife - i was very impressed, it felt 5 star from the moment we arrived. Staff are fabulous; layout and styling of the hotel is very luxurious; rooms are great - we had our own private pool which was worth the bit extra; food was amazing - lots of choice and high quality for the breakfast and dinner buffets; beaches are great; pool area is very well serviced (thx Giannis); hotel is located a short walk from a few restaurants if you want to stretch your legs (recommend The Island restaurant); hotel is close to Heraklion and Knossos - both worth a visit. We loved it. Thanks for making us very welcome

We loved every second of our one week vacation as a family of 4 (2 adults and a 2 and 6 year old). Our villa was amazing and everything we could have asked for! The views from our bedroom and pool were breathtaking, nothing more beautiful to wake up to a blue ocean and palm trees! The reception staff, the house keeping and the restaurant staff were super, super nice, welcoming and more than friendly to us and especially to our kids! The beach bar staff topped the friendliness and they took care of us and our little ones day to day and made our stay so much more fun and exciting! Breakfast was amazing, just a few things we especially loved from lot of choices of a massive buffet: fresh omelettes, waffels, fresh croissants and fresh fruits every day - everything you could have asked for! The lunch and dinner buffet was great as well, always different foods and lots of different choices for every age group, taste, and especially for people with food intolerances like myself! I have never eaten better anywhere in Greece, we simply loved it! The salad buffet was unreal, so many different salads to pick from! The cheeses amazing, and my daily highlight: the desserts!! (We didnt even try the different speciality restaurants since we didnt want to bother other guests with our kids :), but we heard that the food must be amazing - next time :)) Beach: we had thick and soft beach loungers that were reserved just for us, amazing!!! Great service at the beach: towels were re-stocked through out the day, you literally just had to show up and enjoy your day at the beach! House keeping was great, towels were changed daily, everything was very clean! Beds were comfortable, wifi worked great! All in all an amazing vacation, we loved every minute of it and can not wait to come back!!! Thank you so much, Amirandes for everything!!!

The crystal-clear blue waters stretched endlessly before me, surrounded by a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Every detail of the design exudes elegance and thoughtful care. Beyond the beautiful environment, the hotel offers excellent facilities, particularly the wide variety of sports activities, which left me thoroughly impressed. Indoors, there is a spacious swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, and a relaxing sauna. Outdoors, you’ll find professional basketball courts, football fields, and tennis courts. Moreover, the hotel organizes daily classes, catering to guests of all ages. I would especially like to thank the sports coach Kostas for his enthusiasm and expertise; his guidance not only kept me motivated but also helped me improve my skills. Without a doubt, the next time I come to Crete for a holiday, I will choose this hotel again!

I stayed here last week on a business trip the view when u step into the hotel is breathtaking… the surroundings and beach area are lovely and so peaceful. My room … well I nearly cried. A private pool room with lounge area and the biggest jacuzzi bath!! The staff and food were unbelievable and I wouldn’t hesitate staying here for a holiday.
