Super 8 by Wyndham Grapevine/DFW Airport Northwest

This was a last-minute booking for my family as our flights got delayed and we needed a quick room for the night. The property was obviously older (mostly showed in the bathroom fixtures as the rest of the room had new flooring Nd decor) but man-oh-man, spotlessly clean and bright. Definitely felt good about picking this property.

The room smelled funny. Bathroom wasnt cleaned well as i saw hair in the tub. But the llace is cheap so whatever.

Everything was great except for the hotel's shuttle from the airport to the hotel. He picked us up and we got into the seats behind him. Then he drove to another gate and picked up four more people. We had to move, with all our carry-ons to the back row so that they could get in, and there wasn't even room for all of them; one woman had to sit in between the seats. Other than that, our stay was good.

Very noisy and bed had a hole. I was able to change rooms but paper thin walls doors had huge cracks. Sleeping was none existent.

We needed a hotel near the airport after visiting our son at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. This fit the bill. It is close to DFW, allowing us to sleep as late as possible before our early morning flight. While not dirty, the hotel halls felt as if they had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. Our room was fine; clean and comfortable enough for our needs. The continental breakfast was lacking in substance, but was enough to get us to the airport.

I incorrectly assumed since this was a Wyndham property it would be really nice. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The toilet ran off and on several times through the night. The bathtub was missing a layer of .....bathtub? I had to be really careful not to cut my foot, I am a senior and my skin tears easily. The rooms need a renovation desperately!! I had to move the coffee maker to make coffee, plug wouldn't reach.

Price is cheap. But curtains had paint stains on em and the chair was fake leather that was falling apart

Pillows were wonderful, bed was extremely lumpy. Coffee pot did not work in the room, went to lobby to get coffee at about 4 am, they had coffee but had to heat in microwave. Was told they had no more coffee pots. Hope they get one for the person who has the room next.
