Premier Inn Greenock

Hotel was in general like a labyrinth, old and dusty, restaurants food was on a lower level than McDonald’s. Not impressed.

The rooms were clean and quiet, beds comfy and breakfast was excellent with so much choice. The staff were efficient and friendly and we had a great experience.

Stayed one night purely as a cheap base to explore the area. Wouldn’t go without a room with a view. Stayed a few years ago. Badly needed a renovation then and now more so. Pluses for me is that because it’s an older building there are baths and the room size is ok. Any contact with staff pleasant enough. Parking free but you need to register your car. Windows open a bit and internet worked. I remember the outside of the restaurant being run down and in need of painting on the woodwork. This visit I thought the restaurant was closed at first as it looked a bit derelict and unloved. I know premier inns are scaling restaurants back so cannot see any money being spent here but could be very nice if it was. Breakfast was sort of on a booked time with hot items cooked to order. Could see certain items missing. Food okay , not many staff. Breakfast was free on an offer when booking. There is a McDonalds within walking distance otherwise you need transport. Quiet nights sleep on the first floor. Nice water view from our room. Wouldn’t return unless refurbished.

A good location with a great view of the Clyde and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel looks awful from the outside and is in need of some serious renovation, especially the restaurant which we thought was closed down when we arrived. Our room was clean, except the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied from previous guests which was unpleasant. We were in a fairly quiet room and the bed was comfortable, we slept very well. Breakfast was disappointing and not up to normal Premier Inn standards.

From the moment we walked in the door it was a disappointment, it was dismal & like no other Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in. We had been out for dinner & on return decided to go into the lounge for a drink, I’ve put better chairs on the skip than the ones in the lounge . Definitely won’t be back

Premier inn normally great having used the hotel chain in London several times. Bitterly disappointed this time though. Breakfast buffet was very poor with breakfast items missing and long wait times, staff seemed very stressed. Many guests complaining. Also, on the second night there was a disturbance in the hallway with a door damaged. Staff very friendly but overall disappointed with our stay.

Very good location nice clean rooms staff friendly would definitely stay again could do with a paint on the exterior …..

Rooms need a serious upgrade, black tape on table, toilet set moves from side to side. Got accused of smoking in room while drying my hair under fire alarm, smoke coming from dryer and my hair. Asked Natalya to come in and check our room as we had not been smoking, refused just kept saying she could smell smoke. Agree that we do smoke but like every other person we went out side. Not being accused of something we didnt do. John who was on breakfast was amazing, he was alone doing everything, kept apologising, he was a star. I actually recognise him from Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn as I go there all the time. He should be bk in Glasgow Premier Inn, hes far to good for Greenock. Prices for rooms in Greenock is well over charged considering state of rooms. Not cleaner's fault by any means, needs upgraded. My daughters room toilet seat was same, no bedside lamp and no bulb in other lamp. Go to bar and have all these beers on tap and not one of them is in working order, again poor John apologising. John you are better suited to Buchanan Galleries, your an absolute trooper Wont let me add video of toilet
