We had a super meal here after our wedding. The food and service was excellent and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The choice of gins was amazing! We highly recommend this place and we'll certainly be back the next time we're in the area.

Character hotel with unique features spotlessly clean offering a very good standard of accommodation and quality oak wood panelling throughout the ground floor area run by hard working owners and nothing is too much trouble for them Excellent vast car park easy assess to bedrooms from main and side areas Well stocked bar and choice of breakfast menus choice of dinner menu items individually priced and cooked to order The bedrooms are cosy and warm with solid wood furniture and aluminium double glazed windows again spotlessly clean lots of towels and toiletries The owners care and look after their guests!

Linda was brilliant and made us very welcome. The place was spotless and the beds were really comfy; we loved the Scottish themed bedding too! We enjoyed a wonderful meal and breakfast and it was all superb and fresh produce. My daughter who is a very fussy eater said it was the best meal she’d ever had; high praise indeed!! We’ll definitely be back, thank you Linda x

It was only a one night stay but we were greeted with a very warm welcome on arrival and check in which is always appreciated. Plenty of car parking available at the rear of the Hotel which is just a stones throw away from the Registration Office in fact think it is the closest Hotel to it. Room was very clean, comfortable , cosy and quiet. Evening meals were very good and served quickly. A Lovely breakfast was served setting us all up for the day ahead. Spot On. So yes all good would recommend this Quaint and Charming Hotel all day long.

Have booked this hotel now for a few of my employees and the owners are so helpful and both guys are delighted with every aspect.

This is a beautiful art deco gem of a building. The proprietors are rightly proud of it. The welcome was friendly. The food was excellent. The restaurant was nice in spite of the lack of atmosphere- we were the only ones there! The room disappointed a little. It was small, and there was nowhere to put your bags except the floor or the bed. On the plus side, it was nicely done, and had a good coffee machine and quality biscuits. The biggest negative for me was the lack of a shelf in the bathroom- the only place for my toilet bag and makeup was the floor or the toilet seat! A couple of small improvements and this would get 5 stars from me.

Stayed here for a shopping trip very clean and spotless beds comfy. Dinner and breakfast were very good value, Linda very friendly and helpful we will return on our next shopping trip. Free car parking

Had a lovely relaxing stay, booked the bridal suite with four poster bed and it was really comfortable. Walking distance to Gretna Green and the outlet village. Host really friendly and would highly recommend the restaurant.
