Good business hotel.

El personal excepcional. Un abrazo a Gorka, con un gran sentido del humor y un tacto digno de mención. El punto negativo para la web trip, en la que solicitábamos habitación para dos adultos y un niño, y sobre esa búsqueda recibimos resultados. Pero no fue así, ya que si queríamos cama para el niño ( de 11 años, datos introducido en la búsqueda ) lo teníamos que pagar a parte...entonces, la oferta ya no es tan guay como la pintaron... Léanse bien la letra pequeña o se sentirán engañados..

Room was nice and I liked the fact that the shower/tub controls were at the end of the tub opposite the showerhead. AC worked fine. Not much of a view. Rooms were clean, so no major complaint. I had no hot water one night nor the following morning. I made due as I had a lot of things to do. When I was checking out the nice clerk asked about my stay and I said it was very nice, except I didn't have hot water last night nor this morning. An officious woman came over and corrected me saying that there was hot water that morning. Clearly I had struck a nerve, but I wasn't complaining, just answering a question. Frankly, I know what water is hot and what isn't, and after running for 15 minutes this water wasn't even tepid. Since there was no one at the reception desk, I don't know why this woman felt the need to try to correct me, even tho I had been in the room and she had not.

Hay hoteles que quedaron anclados en un momento determinado. El Albret parece haberse quedado en los noventa. Su ubicación es bastante desangelada, en la cercanía a la zona de biblioteca y ciudad de la música, todo un mazacote de hormigón visualmente poco atractivo... vamos que parece aquello un polígono. En cuanto al hotel en sí, habitaciones espaciosas, baño correcto y bueno, servicios tanto TV como Caja Fuerte algo antiguos ya, pero operativos perfectamente. El minibar tenía cosas dentro. Eso es bueno, porque ahora casi ningún hotel lo llena, se limitan a dejarlo ahí como mucho con un par de botellas de agua de cortesía. La limpieza, bueno, bien, pero podía mejorar. Había alguna etiqueta supongo que de clientes previos, y si se me caía algo al suelo ahí estaba al día siguiente. Buena atención en recepción, y buena calidad de sueño. La cafetería bien, aunque cerraban muy pronto, como a las 11. En fin, como tres estrellas cumple, aunque es cierto que hablamos de un cuatro estrellas.

We had a twin room (on a tour) facing the street but there was absolutely no noise. The windows were double glazed and easy to open. The room was spacious enough to open two suitcases without tripping over each other. The beds, although they seemed hard, were remarkably comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, shampoo, body wash and soap provided. Towels large and the shower over the bath was a good size, good water pressure and a welcome change. Breakfast was great. No cereal but hot choices as well as breads, hams,cheeses. Nice hot coffee that doesn’t come out of a machine. One issue was the lifts and this is just being picky. They stop at floors you didn’t request, they close VERY quickly and will continue to close even if you stand in the doorway. And they really are tiny! However would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Albret is a bit outside of the old town, but this is rather a blessing, as over-tourism is not felt there. The walk to down-town is pleasant, and easy half-hour. While the rooms are rather standard for this category, buffet breakfast is spectacular, includes local items and very well prepared food. Unfortunately, breakfast is served in the basement of the building, thus not very inviting.

The property has a very nice lobby with marble floors and walls. The room was small and outdated. I was overcharged and the hotel did not honor the price that was quoted by Experian. I am starting to see a trend with this practice. Through out my vacation. Going with Experian was way costly at the end as none of the providers honored the agreements.

The property was nice, clean, but the staff wasn’t very friendly and seemed bothered when asked questions. I would not stay there again.

May be the best hotel in the specific area. Near both major hospitales
