Vega Aparts, which we have been coming to since about 2017. This year (2023) every each day of our stay(15 days) we have been faced with unbelievable problems!Unfortunately the biggest issue was the reckless attitude taken by the hotel management regarding our complaints!!I can never have a word for the employees who are struggling to fix everything.  Let's come to the problems that we have faced every day from the 1st to the 15th day; The scenery we encountered while trying to settle in the house that they reserved for us was unbelievable. We started the holiday with a few pieces of furniture placed in an ”unfinished building”.  Our balcony, the ants, our cable pipes that are left open, no lamps placed at the head of the bed, our clothes hanger that suddenly becomes one with the floor while trying to hang swimsuits and towels... (The reason why we couldn't leave from the first day was our daughter and our romantic dreams that she could be together with her grandparents and cousins normally who are living in other cities.  We said let's be patient!!!  but what a big mistake that was!!!) We reported every mistake we saw to the management as best we could (we tried not to forget that Vega Aparts is still a facility that is trying to develop; however, you can't stay in an ”unfinished living space especially you have paid for that” no matter how romantic and kind you are!!!!) The most decisive event for me which shows us that we live in ”unfinished construction zone” was the bathroom-wc window that almost fell on my head. You can use the window right next to the mirror either fully open or fully closed. Because there is no mechanism to keep it half open! In any moment it may come down on your head!!! With a little wind, the window suddenly opened and fell on my shoulder. With a momentary reflex, I pulled my head back but I couldn't save my shoulder. (I don't need to mention my bruises, and wound.) I'm so angry to myself, I should have reported it so that no other customer after me would experience this! In the following days, we realized that ●the garden of the place where we were staying was full of construction trash. ●The cleaning service that was given in the past is no longer provided,●There was only 1 ladder to enter and exit the sea and I would like to point out that the sea is a rocky- wavy one! The 2nd ladder was of course there, rusty and waiting!! but another customer has cut his foot on this rusty ladder. So it was closed!!They did not repair it untill the day we left! I think they are waiting the ladder to repair itself!!●Another strange thing about the sea and the pool was the red flag that was constantly hanging.  (*Red flag: It is the beach flag located in areas where swimming is strictly prohibited due to many dangers.  You can swim if you want, but all responsibility belongs to you.) So if you want to come to Vega Aparts for a holiday and swim in the red flag sea or the pool, it is dangerous, but if something happens to you, it is

I discovered Metin Hotel via Google whilst looking for a hotel in Gumusluk. The price I found online was 380 lira for one night. I contacted the hotel directly and queried about it (as I prefer to communicate and book directly with the hotel rather than through a booking site so all the money goes to them). I was quoted an absurd 1,200 lira. I sent the hotel a screenshot of the price I found online and they said it was for April only, the prices were different for May. OK, peak season so price increases. But more than triple? I asked if they would consider keeping it 380/night for three nights as the first night I wanted to book fell in April and was the start of my booking. The person replied 'bespoke' with a laughing face. I found this incredibly rude as it was a reasonable request that they could have politely declined instead of taking the mick out of me. Two days later, I visited Gumusluk and coincidentally ended up at Metin while looking for a cafe for a small snack. I asked for the menu and this oldish guy with brown teeth said the menu was in his head and I can request anything I like. I told him I wanted something small, just a snack, not dinner as it was too early. We looked at some pictures online and then eventually I said small pastry with minced meat and potatoes and lemonade to drink. Food took ages to come, think I waited around 25 mins. During that time, I asked if the guy knew of any good hotels nearby for the next few nights. He said this was a hotel, pointing to my right where there were rooms on the above level. I learned that I was at Metin Hotel and felt uncomfortable due to the WhatsApp communication two days earlier. The guy offered to show me a room which I accepted and as we were going up the stairs, he said I had spoken to his receptionist a couple of days ago, so he already knew who I was. I felt embarrassed and wanted to leave but the food was already being made. The man showed me the room - it was alright, nothing wow. And then he quoted me a 'special price' just for me at $230 for three nights. What. A. Joke. I've been travelling through Turkey for two months now and have stayed in some very nice hotels - much better than the room this guy offered. And they were all reasonablly priced. The most I paid for a modern hotel room including breakfast was £31/night. I told him it was out of my budget and that was the end of our conversation. The food arrived and I suddenly felt awkward. I had a feeling he was going to rip me off with the price. Nonetheless, I thought I had to go through the motions, eat and pay whatever he charged me as it's tacky arguing over the bill. While the food had obviously been cooked fresh, the meat tasted weird. Like it was old meat that had been left in the fridge for a little too long and was only being cooked now. When it was time to pay, the guy charged me 125 liras. I told him it was very expensive for two small pastry rolls and a lemonade, and that's usually how much I spend on a whole me

Beautiful boutique hotel at the heart of Gümüşlük. I have stayed at this hotel in 07/23 on high season and in 10/23 on off season. Hotel is clean and decorated beautifully. Owners and staff are very helpful and kind. They create the feeling that you are at home away from home. The rooms with balcony are just awesome. You have a view to the Gümüşlük’s colourful restaurants and to the little village harbour. Dawns and sunsets are magnificent in this place and you can follow those from your balcony. On October I stayed one night at the standard room. Room was nice but to have a great experience I recommend the room with balcony and sea view. Breakfast is good and it’s served at the hotel’s gorgeous terrace upstairs. The beach is nearby, it’s very basic but cosy. Restaurants by the beach offer sunbeds and services. At the local beach where I stayed are often families with their portable camping chairs.
