This was my second stay - last time was 12 months ago, and a couple of staff members remembered me. Paul is a total asset to the lodge, as is the gentleman who took me to the airport - unfortunately I didn't get his name. Accommodation is very comfortable, pool is nice and food was quickly served. As I had an early check out, Paul made me a coffee to take away, and the kitchen staff gave me a box to take away.

I loved that they took care of me with whatever showed up. They were diligent and caring. The room was comfortable and clean. One of the plumbing fixtures didn’t work and they switched my room in 5 minutes and helped me get situated comfortably. The grounds and rooms are peaceful and quiet and beautiful. They’re staff was extremely accommodating and supportive.

This was the best lodging experience on this two week trip to Africa. The AC works well as does the internet and electricity here. Beautiful grounds, nice variety of food and reasonable prices. Also had a 90 minute massage in the spa and used the pool while I was here. A very relaxing stay considering I would not have been here if the first of 3 flights home hadn't been cancelled and rebooked 2 days out at the last minute.

We’ve been travelling in Tanzania and Zanzibar for 3 weeks. This was our last hotel and by far the best. The rooms, the staff the whole feeling of the place is far better than anywhere we’ve stayed in this region. Plus it’s a stone throw away from the Airport. 10/10 for this place.. my only disappointment is that we found this hotel on our last 2 days. Excellent value for money, clean and friendly. You will be happy you booked this little gem. Plus a free shuttle bus to the Airport every hour.

Friendly staff and management that will do anything to help solve any last minute issues

The hotel is about ten minutes from the Kilamanjara airport. This is the sole advantage --proximity to JRO for extreme early morning departures. The bathroom towels were old and unraveling. The dinner menu had very few selections (I settled for a bowl of soup), and the price was posted in US dollars only. The staff was friendly and reliable.

I’m SURE I booked a My. Kilimanjaro view suite. No Mountain at all. The tub drain would not hold water. Door to patio was badly installed and had to be HIT to open

We chose this hotel because of it's convenient location near the Kilimanjaro Airport. We arrived late in the evening and were greated warmly by the staff who were expecting us. It was so nice to feel so welcome and have everything ready for us after traveling for almost 24 hours. The property is lovely, the rooms are large and have everything you could need, breakfast is included and other meals are available in the restaurant. The mosquito nets are so nice, not the old round frame hanging from the ceiling. They even come in and place the net around the bed for you and spray for mosquitos before you go to bed. Had I know how nice the hotel was, and had extra time, I would have planned to stay longer! You can not beat the service the staff at Airport Planet Lodge provide.

Food was very good - fabulous breakfast. Service was outstanding. Friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend.
