Despite being a 5-star hotel in Sri Lanka, our initial experience was subpar. The room we were allocated seemed hastily arranged, lacking even basic amenities like towels. Despite calling reception multiple times, the room wasn't cleaned promptly, and we only received water the next day. The overall experience, excluding breakfast and the scenic outdoor location, fell short of expectations. Throughout the night, power interruptions were frequent, causing the AC and other devices to go off briefly before backup kicked in. The hotel staff's knowledge and efficiency in managing guest requests were lacking. During dinner, we observed identical spreads placed in three different corners, offering limited variety. The cost of approximately 8,000 rupees appeared disproportionately high compared to city hotels, considering the taste and variety of the buffet. While the hotel boasts picturesque views and a serene location, experiencing genuine hospitality may require patience and multiple requests. If you seek a peaceful location, it may suffice, but for a truly satisfying hospitality experience, it might be worth reconsidering unless you are prepared for persistent follow-ups.

是一個度假莊園，很有英倫風格，裝飾細節用心，充滿南亞風情特色。整個園區很大，房間也很大，陽台可以直接看到海灘。美中不足是隔音很差，走廊和樓上的聲音清晰可辨…以及在自助餐廳吃了兩頓飯以後都感覺明顯的胃部不適，不知道是不是餐食問題

Amazing experience at shangri la in Hambantota . No need to go to safari, safari will come to you at the resort ‍⬛. The staff very hospitable and polite food was amazing thank you chef’s hospitality was top class thank you Audith and Nisanka the most educated people I ever met . Ramesh thank you for your smiley face and your best masala chi . Milan made our time at the golf club romantic and joyful with his friend Mr peacock (laksarney ) . Room service was Honest and trustworthy no one touched the safe at our room we forgot to locked it. Luckshman the pool time was amazing with his soft chat and lovely smile . Thank you the spa ladies at last but not lest lots of love to charuka who made our last dinner at sera restaurant touchable he made me cry .

My Husband and I spent 4 nights/ 5 days here and absolutely loved our stay. The grounds are large with the endless trees producing over 300 coconuts per day - now that's fresh farm to table! The rooms are comfortable and toiletries smell fabulous! The two main pools are relaxing and one even has stunning seaviews. They have amenities from bocce to ping pong, bike riding to archery and so on! The restaurants all have live music and the food served is beyond expectations. There is so much attention to detail with regards to taste, presentation and delivery. The staff are all so welcoming and very accommodating. The hotel has 300+ rooms, and the staff still make you feel like family. A special thank you to Vihanga who welcomed us to breakfasts and dinners with the warmest smile and always went the extra mile to make us feel the at home. And to Shashen who helped me master the 9 holes on the golf course and beat my husband! His tips and knowledge were very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who truly wants to relax and have a 5 star experience!

Exceptional service & the warm welcome make you feel that you have been taken care of when you arrive. Anjuna looked after us when we checked in along with everyone else. Exceptional staff that always serves with a smile. We would like to say a big thank you to for their great hospitality, attention, kindness & care along with all other staff members at Anjuna Hashan. We had dinner tonight at Gimanhala & again we were served with the same warmth, kindness, attention & care with big smiles on their faces by Vihanga. These gems should be treasured. We will continue to update our stay at Shangri-la in Hambantota as we go along. The food was excellent too

We will continue to update our stay at Shangri-la in Hambantota as we go along. Food was excellent too We were at the pool bar & Navindu served us with a big smile on his face along with all the other staff members of the pool bar. Navindu is very courteous, attentive, caring & helpful. Thank you. Well done & all the best!!

Highly recommend Shangrila - Hambantota. Lots of activities for families. Multiple pools, water play park for kids, supervised kids club and much much more. Very comfortable rooms and multiple hang out spaces and bars. The food was amazing - the staff, very friendly and helpful. Another hotel that exemplifies Sri Lankan hospitality. We will be back for sure!
