Good place for the price you paying easy for the football at Hamilton FC ground and lots of buses to and from Glasgow

I read some of the reviews and was a bit worried on what I would find when i arrived. Like previous reviews state you have to go over the road to get the keys but that was easy enough and there is a crossing just a little bit up. I had the room right above the karaoke but that was fine as i was in the bar till it finished so no problem. I wouldn't book if you want a quiet night as karaoke didn't finish till 0100 and the singers were awful, even after a few pints. The hotel was perfect for what i wanted and i wasn't expecting the Ritz. The locals were brilliant and the barman was friendly, even doing a few quiz questions whilst i was waiting on mates arriving. Its a cheap and cheerful room above a pub and I would book again if in the area.

The stay was a game of two halves as on the first night there was absolutely no chance of sleep until 1am as the noise from the karaoke and entertainment pounded through the building. We were in room 3, directly above the music, and it was truly hideous. I did inform the owners but they did not reply. I honestly feel that rooms should not be let out there on nights when there is entertainment. I recorded the noise from my pillow and replayed it the next day-it was so loud! The room was basic but very clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. The other nights were fine noise wise. Parking is nowhere near as tricky as people have made out. Just across the road and very safe. The cleaning lady was lovey and friendly and the staff in the pub, although it was not their responsibility to do so, were responsive to our concerns and kept us informed of future events. They were so friendly. I have no idea re the noise levels in the other rooms as my request to be moved was ignored but would honestly avoid on events nights. Well positioned for our stay and reasonably priced. I would not have paid a penny for the Saturday night if given a choice or response as it was absolutely not a hotel room as described as sleep was truly impossible.

Not a place to stay when you have children as the bar had karaoke until the early hours of the morning My daughter who’s 11 was upset that she couldn’t get to sleep I was so upset that I nearly left to try and get somewhere else but at that time I didn’t think I could No mention of that there could be some noise

This stay was perfectly fine on most points. Really. Stayed 2 nights. Nice and accessible from Hamilton West. First night fine. Nice staff welcome. Room perfectly nice to sleep in. Bathroom clean. Kettle and tea making materials. All good and just what was needed. Have stayed above pubs a lot and know what to expect generally. The first night was fine. Got to bed sometime before 12 and able to sleep well before work. Upon getting back on the 2nd night noticed some noise from below. That’s fine and completely understandable. Some sort of quiz night and a bit of chatter. Music etc. I put my iPad on, headphones etc. Things seemed to be winding down so got my head down. Then all of a sudden the music started really cranking up getting towards 11 O clock. Someone got on the mic - I actually like the tunes and the first vocalist had a fairly good voice. However the volume just kept getting louder and louder and louder. It was directly underneath and may as well been in the room. Other people with less ability and more alcoholic impairment got on the mic. This is at 11:30 by this point. It has gone from passable to really quite irritating and no idea of when it might stop. The main singer kept saying towards the last tune that it would be the last one and it was time to go. This happened about ten times. Each time there had been a pause and some quiet with a suggestion that all was finished. It stopped being funny at that point. Finally got to sleep by 1am. Shame!

So we booked rooms above The Bay Horse for a Monday and Tuesday. The rooms dont actually belong to the pub but the Spice Restaurant across the road where you get the keys and park your car. There was no breakfast at the pub or food till the weekend, so good job we had family here. Currently listening to rap music from the pub below, currently 11.30pm, so much for a good nights sleep. Wont be staying here again. Good job our border terrier is not faised by the pounding music or it could have been a different matter this time of night.

Above a pub so some noise is to be expected but they had lardons on until 1am on a Tuesday night.

No on-site reception. No information provided where to check in - it’s an Indian restaurant over road. Not very helpful. Main door to building didn’t lock. Felt very unsafe as the rooms are above a busy pub and door is in smoking area - pub has nothing to do with rooms. Very very loud, disco and karaoke until 3am so no sleep what so ever. AVOID this place as it’s horrendous and description of facilities etc are incorrect on ******* eg. No a/c, no reception etc.

This property is awful, it’s upstairs a noisy pub, the door leading to the rooms is left unlocked and is in a dimly lit back alley of the pub. There were bed bug traps on the windowsill as I came into the property which isn’t very appealing. The check in for the property is across a busy 4 lane road in the Indian restaurant. When I asked the member of staff who showed me the room what time the pub downstairs closed he said sometimes 1am but mostly later. Overall a terrible property with deceiving pictures
