The hotel is good repair and clean. The staff are amazing! Breakfast was great, better then expected!

Rooms were newly updated but outside was a little run down so we were apprehensive about this place. Great breakfast for a continental one. Would stay again

Was an adequate stay. Even though there weren’t many guests we were placed in a room with a lousy location and view. There were no extra blankets. But the room was very clean with a nice kitchen area

The staff were excellent. Breakfast options were okay, but too many carbs. I got a not so good pkg of hard boiled eggs and hit McDonalds the rest of my stay.

We had a wonderful first time visit to Ellsworth. Elaine at Front desk and Peter ensured every need was quickly addressed.

About a 30 min commute to bar harbor. The room was musty and felt damp. There was a big storm one evening and there was water all over the floor and bed was wet from the windows being so old. Would not stay here again.

Need an elevator. Lots of elderly folks visiting the state my sister who was with me is one of them with mobility issues. Have to lug your bags to second floor. Someone at the desk got a maintenance man to help but I was already getting them up there myself. Need better breakfast choices to include hot eggs, Bacon etc. Need rooms cleaned everyday. Had to ask for bedding and towel change. The room we had was awesome! Like an extended stay room. No problem with the room!

THERE IS NO ELEVATOR!!! I double checked and it is NOT mentioned. Rooms look good and bed comfortable. All staff very nice. When they remodeled though they should have done more than cosmetic changes. Our door stuck, had to bang it closed (sorry everyone else on the floor), AC unit old and made an annoying whinny sound (take your sound machine). Quite dusty. Bathroom small - plenty of room in the suite to enlarge it. No counter space or anywhere to put your toiletries, clothes, towel etc. Breakfast is prepackaged sandwiches, bagels etc, no cooked food which was fine. Requests for tips in room & dining area: made us feel they didn't pay their staff enough. Fire doors are propped open and outside doors are frequently open - not safe at all! For almost $700 for two nights I will not return.
