Nice place

Hotel carino nel complesso ma non da 4 stelle. Un po’ macchinosa la questione parcheggio. Abbiamo dovuto lasciare la macchina per strada per chiedere il biglietto in reception e poi entrare nel parcheggio a 200m.

今夜（2024年4月15日）、ホテル内の騒音がひどすぎました。教授陣とホテル経営陣の対応がまずかった若者のグループが原因です。私の隣の部屋では音楽と騒々しい会話が午前2時まで続きました！ホテルの夜勤スタッフによる監視はなく、夜間の受付係に伝えましたが、改善はありませんでした。止めてもらうには、ドアをノックして宿泊者に直接苦情を言わなければなりませんでした。午前2時です！結論として、1- 宿泊者の種類に応じた部屋の配分管理がない（ホテルは学生のグループを宿泊させていることを知っていて、カップルの旅行者の隣に配置していた）、2- 夜間の静けさの管理がないが、明らかにそれがホテルの主な責任である（ホテルに来るのは寝るためです！）。ホテルがどのように管理されているのか疑問に思います... イラクリオンのカステッロ シティ ホテルには二度と泊まりません。

ホテルは小さく、トイレの照明は良くなく、部屋は汚く、一部のサービスは最高ではありませんでした。朝食と夕食は良かったのですが、夜の夕食は良くなく、自分の部屋にいる他の人の部屋の音がすべて聞こえます。

Absolute Filth, Theft, and Utter Neglect – Stay Far Away from This Hotel! If I could give a negative rating, I would do it without hesitation. From the moment we entered, we were hit by a horrible, stale stench that permeated every corner of the building. The room was in appalling condition – filled with hair and grime, with not even the basics like soap. The walls were cracked, humidity was everywhere, and there was an overwhelming sense of neglect and decay. However, the worst part was the theft of a large sum of money from a friend’s bag, which she had left in the room. The theft was committed by a member of the staff, and when we reported it, the hotel’s response was downright outrageous! Not only did they refuse to help, but they had the audacity to accuse the very guests of lying and tried to cover up the incident. Even after security cameras proved that someone from their staff was responsible, the hotel continued to show zero accountability. There was no apology, no compensation – only indifference and disrespect. This place is utterly unsafe, untrustworthy, and shameless in its treatment of guests. Warning: stay as far away as possible from this nightmare of a place. If you value your dignity, your health, and your money, avoid this hotel at all costs.

Hotel Castello City Hotel When I read the negative reviews, I asked myself “did I stay in this hotel?” My experience was the complete opposite to the negative reports I read. 1/ excellent quality for the price (October 2024 rates). 2/ professional service. 3/ modern, professionally decorated room. 4/ Impressive, large breakfast in the rooftop restaurant with a nice view (included in my room rate). 5/ Polite and well trained cleaning staff. 6/ Efficient and silent air conditioning. I don't know how the star system works in Greece but compared to other countries I know, I would give it a good 3 star rating. NOTE: the hotel is situated on a busy cross road. This creates a lot of traffic noise. BUT when I closed the door to the balcony, the inside of the room was silent. I think they have triple glazing on the windows and doors. Whatever, the rooms are silent inside. All in all, a perfect stay.

The hotel is centrally located. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. We got a triple room as our son was with us. Hotel was clean , staff very friendly. Breakfast was sumptuous. We also ate at the in-house restaurant and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Excellent central location, walking distance to major sightseeing sites. Polite and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and very clean. The only disadvantage is the quality of the bed mattress and the pillows, which are not very comfortable.

I don’t know who gives hotels in Greece their star ratings, maybe themselves? This hotel is definitely not 4 star! I would give it a 2 at best! It looks nothing like the pictures, it is old and just ugly. The lobby looks like a backpackers lodge, it smells of cigarettes even! The rooms are just old and disgusting. The toilet doesn’t have enough lights and the drain in the shower doesn’t even work properly! How can this be a 4 star hotel honestly??? Will never be coming back!

This hotel is conveniently situated outside the main centre but an easy walk to the old town and coastline. It is certainly not up to 4 star quality. The hotel is getting tired with fixtures falling off the walls, tiles cracking laminate pealing and grouting stained. It would be an ok 3 star hotel. The location is great. The breakfast buffet is standard and of ok quality (the Douwe Egberts coffee is awful though the espresso machine is available after 10am on the same level to buy coffee rom) and the view from the 5th floor bistro exceptional. Staff were polite and helpful though it felt as though we were inconveniencing the gentleman front desk staff member. When informing him of the lock that didn’t work, the plumbing issue in the shower and the side table that had come away from the wall the sarcastic response was “Anything else?” The female front desk attendant was very friendly. We had complimentary water on the first night but not after that, maybe it’s only a ‘welcome to your first night’ thing.

We were only here for one quick night and wished it was longer. Great service, nice room, very clean, excellent bar and restaurant on top level with view. Had late dinner and breakfast before needing to leave and was very good.
