Stayed here for the weekend for a family event nearby. Very interesting building; historic parts blended with sympathetic modern updates. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spotless comfortable rooms. Food excellent. Views amazing. Would recommend. Good value for money.

Spontaneous overnight stop on a trip up the country. Couple and 3 year old. Wonderful little independent hotel, far surpassed our 'road trip stop' expectation and we'd love to return for a weekend. Loved the cosy bar area and felt welcomed by all staff. Lovely bedroom with all modern conveniences but maintaining character (we stayed in the courtyard suite, so plenty of space for us all). Food was incredible. This hotel did not really feel aimed at family travel, but they were so welcoming to our 3 year old, adapting the menu and making sure we had everything we needed.

My family and I stayed here for the night and had a wonderful stay. This hotel has lots of old world charm, and our room was full of character and had beautiful views overlooking the countryside. We had a lovely evening meal and hot breakfast the next morning - both were delicious, and staff were really friendly and efficient. Overall a great visit and we would definitely stay here again.

On a recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales, my wife and I stayed at the Stone House Hotel in Hawes, and what a great experience it was! The rooms were super comfortable, with a wide choice for breakfast, and top class dinner menus. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is set in a lovely location on the edge of Hawes, and near to Hardraw Force. Highly recommended!

Excellent comfortable hotel Had an excellent night stay with a good meal and excellent breakfast Only comment was hard mattress and pillows and late 4 pm check in However when mentioned at end of stay advised could have alternative pillows and topper Hotel very quick to respond to any comments excellent service

The hotel is lovely with Arts and Crafts design. It still feels like family manor house and the staff are wonderful. Food was good and our dogs were welcomed to share the fireside . Highly recommended and will be returning soon. We miss the staff already. They obviously love working there.

Visited Stonehouse Hotel for a week end as a family to celebrate my Mother’s 90th birthday. This Hotel is an absoulute gem, the staff superb, the breakfast excellent The rooms comfortable and dinner was delicious. We will return and tell other people to visit too, Thank you everyone for making us so welcome !

Just returned from a relaxing 3 day break at this wonderful hotel. We have been staying there 3 times a year for the last 10 years and it never fails to deliver. The cuisine is excellent and the staff who most have been working there for years are very helpful and friendly without being intrusive and are a credit to the owner Since our last visit in October the hotel has undergone a few changes, the main one being getting rid of the pool table and relocating the bar to that area. This has created more space and seating and I'm sure this makes it easier for the staff. The hotel has not lost any of its character and in our opinion is an improvement. Stayed in a lovely spacious suite. Though we did not have time to explore the grounds, I am sure they would have made a lovely stroll around. Check-in/check-out were both quick and easy, though we were staying at a quiet time of year. A special shout out to the young serving staff - Sandra, Mary, Other Lyn, etc. - they were very friendly, efficient and happy to join in with the banter. The only slight quibble was that the full breakfast was overcooked, but overall a definite recommended stay.
