アン バン スティルト ハウス(An Bang Stilt House Villa)

We couldn't have been happier with the decision to spend 3D/4N at Kim's outstanding home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Our names were on the chalkboard welcoming us, and we were given incredible recommendations on restaurants in the nearby beach village which were spot-on. Kim made us breakfast every morning and took care to ask us what we wanted. She even gave my son a mini master class on making Cau Lau, the signature dish of Hoi An! There are bikes on site to use, and there are even motorbikes. I wasn't brave enough to try those. It's a 4 minute bike ride to the beach. A beautiful location, too. There is simply no need to spend 250/night at a big name resort when you will never get to understand Vietnamese culture and food like you would by staying here. Adding to the fabulousness, Kim has a milk tea stand that comes out in the evening and my boys confirm that it was delish - they were regulars! Kim even prepared them each a milk tea for the road when we left. Seriously, the world needs more people like Kim.

Kim shouldn't be a Superhost. She should be the UBERHOST! Thanks to Kim and hubby, our stay in their lovely wooden An Bang Stilt House was very memorable, albeit for only one night. The pillows here are firm & the best we had during our trip. Our host, Kim was very helpful, kind, and attentive to our needs, but also incredibly well connected to local businesses. Need a massage? No problem, she'll sort it out for you... insitu- we had one of the best foot massages in a long time. Need an ao dai tailor made? Say no more. She'll get that sorted for you with a good price! Need transportation in, out, and around Hoi An and neighbouring provinces? There are no issues there. She'll help with that. She even organised a food tour with a local guide, Jackie, who was marvellous. We experienced a few hours of gastronomical fun as we navigated through the wondrous streets of Hoi An, sampling scrumptious food and learning nuggets of local history along the way. Jackie was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and gregarious. We highly recommend this food tour, so please do let Kim know, and she'll hook you up with Jackie! An Bang is just a short walk to the beach where you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to seafood restaurants. The room is clean and charming and has a shared balcony where you can enjoy breakfast prepared by Kim. After a long day exploring Hoi An, An Bang is the perfect place to return to (just a short car ride) for some quiet solitude. We will definitely return and stay here again.
