Canyon Roadhouse is full of personality—think car wrecks turned décor, both inside and out, with a fun, roadhouse theme that’s surprisingly welcoming. Our room was compact but nicely decorated, with thoughtful touches like high-quality bathroom products and a plunger with excellent ground coffee (a rare treat!). One downside: there’s no fridge in the room, so keeping water cold in the desert heat was a bit of a challenge. The restaurant was decent, and we especially enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air. The breakfast buffet had a modest selection, but the cooked-to-order omelette was honestly one of the best we’ve had—perfectly done! All in all, a fun and comfortable stopover with unique flair and warm hospitality. Definitely worth a stay if you’re exploring the Fish River Canyon area!

What an eclectic place to find the "middle of nowhere" although that does apply to most of Namibia. Excellent facilities, good wifi (very important), areas in which to sit and relax and an above ground (yes) pool. Super place to stay. Very large camping area. The only thing we thought was that the camping area could be improved by having some sort of screening to reduce the amount of sand getting in your food when self catering

Well equipped campsite - each one has water (suitable for washing dishes and a BBQ place. Even though the distance between the campsites is not that big, it still feels cozy and quiet. There are many curious birds around the campsites and other game animals in the area. One of the nights we were near the pool and there were several oryxes passing by.

The reception and grounds are great fun. Full of old vehicles machinery etc. The staff are super friendly and helpful The room..... you could have played tennis on the bed the mattress was so hard!!!! To plug the kettle in (or your phone charger) you had to move bedside table and unplug light. The socket other side was behind the bed. No other sockets in room. One in the bathroom. Shower pressure poor. Power points out by undercover parking great idea. Meant we could leave freezer in car overnight Breakfast was good. Found main meal menu uninspiring so had a fab dinner at sister hotel Canyon Lodge

A fun and quirky place to stay, with a roadhouse theme. Our room was nicely decorated, with a modern bathroom. The food in the restaurant was good. It is very conveniently situated for visited Fish River Canyon and it is also possible to buy petrol here.
