We loved staying at Homer Stay and Play. Our room was so comfortable and looked out over the mountains and Homer Spit. Breakfast every morning was delicious and we chose what we wanted each night for the next day. Our hosts, Anna and Byran were wonderful and gave us lots of tips for our stay. They are up on the hills in Homer and regularly see moose in their yard. We were not disappointed. We even had to delay our dinner reservation because there was a moose calf calmly eating their vegetation in the yard. We had a great stay here. We ate at AJ's Steak House (in town) and Captain Patty's on the spit.

We loved our stay at Homer Stay and Play! Perfect spot outside of the hustle and bustle of the town to use as home base when going on adventures around the area. Our room had a beautiful view and a balcony where we were able to enjoy bird watching and quiet times. Our room was well equipped with a comfy bed and everything we needed. The best part were our hosts- Anna and Byron. We had delightful breakfasts and conversations with them and loved getting to know the area through their expertise. We really enjoyed our conversations with them and their suggestions of what to do and see in the area. Fun spot on our Alaska vacation.

Comfortable, calm and quiet with beautiful views. A great way to start the day or end your day! A wonderful breakfast is provided and the hosts are delightful!

The house was nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Anna left us a menu to order from which was very accommodating. The home is in a decent location but thought it was closer to the spit. The views of the spit are beautiful! Homer is such a lovely town and so glad we went!

The view is amazing! The hosts, Anna and Byron, are gracious and thoughtful and helped us with our trip planning. Our room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was really nice. Anna took our breakfast order the night before and had it ready at an agreed time the next morning. Loved all the breakfast options. We stayed two nights. Tip: if you have a large suitcase, consider packing an overnight bag in case you need to carry it up some stairs.

It was great!! The view was awesome!! The host were very nice and accommodating! Our room was great, the bed was comfortable! She fixed us a nice breakfast every morning! Would definitely recommend!!

We were served a wonderful breakfast. This rental has a nice view also. Wished the curtains were a bit thicker to block the light but the bed was firm so did get to sleep eventually.

I stayed here only 1 night but I really enjoyed its location, the views and the quiet surrounding. Very relaxing place, only 10 mins drive to the Homer spit. The rooms was spacious, bed comfortable, amenities great. The place was clean, breakfast menu offered options and they were all filling (eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, jam, drinks, tea, etc). I loved the sample food and the home made apple jam. Nice touch. The owner(s) were very nice, explained things to do in Homer, we discussed hiking options and thanks to her advise, I took a boat ride to the Kachemak park and hiked to the glacier lake and some other trails. I would definately stay there again!

An extremely comfortable home-away-from-home style guesthouse in the beautiful and interesting little town of Homer. Anna and Byron really operate this place like a labour of love, they know so much about the area and are so kind and helpful -- they also serve up a truly delicious homemade breakfast every morning. The location is great too -- far away enough from the main town that it feels like you're immersed in nature (plus great views from everywhere) but just a couple of minutes drive from all the restaurants and tour operators. Highly recommend staying here, it was a real pleasure.
