Excellent! This is the best option to stay in the Huangshan area to visit the mountains and surroundings. This boutique hotel is located extremely quietly in the middle of the bamboo forests and tea plantations away from the bustle and hustle, busy streets, people and noisy restaurants- exactly what we needed after a day on the mountain. At the same time it’s only 5-10 minutes away from the South entrance gate, which the hotel will shuttle you to whenever you need. Overall the service and the owners are so so great and helpful with everything. The hotel overall and the rooms are so tastefully designed, high quality, 1000% clean and everything is tidied up (no messy piles anywhere - unlike in other boutique hotels in China). You can conveniently get dinner in the hotel, the seating area is beautiful, quiet, designed perfectly and the food was delicious. Breakfast is Chinese breakfast but they are so sweet and offer cereals and toast if you like, however, i brought some other options for my parents which they kindly kept in the fridge. They also took us to their own tea mountain to watch the sunset and Huangshan Mountain from afar - very special!!! Highly recommend that! The other hiking recommendations (besides than going up Huangshan) were a great addition. I recommend a three night stay, that’s just perfect. Everything is even nicer than on the pictures, a pleasant and unusual surprise!! You will not regret to choose this hotel, i stayed in other hotels in Huangshan before and this is the best option with regards to location (!!), design and service.

Our stay here was really amazing, the location is perfect as you can enjoy the quiet surrounding but you are still super close to the South Gate of Mount Huangshan (free shuttle provided). The room was beautiful and perfect for us.

Would recommend this homestay. They were really helpful right from the start, helping us schedule our trip and buy the tickets. They also offer free transport to the Yellow Mountain bus stop. Super convenient if you haven't made plans or don't know where to go. The front counter ladies are ultra helpful and friendly. The food here is also delicious and the rooms are spacious and clean.

The hotel is a good choice for staying in the Tangkou area of Huangshan. The hotel has a nice vibe and comfortable rooms, even a small pool. In the lobby there is always tea (tasty, from own plantation) and some snacks. The diner at the hotel was also very delicious. The owners are nice and helpful and give you a ride to the entrance gate of the bus station that takes you up the hill to Huangshan. So all in all a good choice for our stay.

Our stay at Shanyu Life and Huangshan Design was absolutely fantastic! The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our visit especially enjoyable. The entire property was clean and well-maintained, and the peaceful setting provided a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The pool could use a bit of an update, but that didn’t take away from our overall great experience. We were very satisfied and would love to return!

Lovely staying at the Villa. The location is beautiful and apart from the noise of the city. The staff are super attentive and you feel like at home. They carry us from the train station and to all the destinations we went. The lady owner is a wonderful host and teach us involve us in several tea ceremony too. The room are beautiful and clean. Highly recommended

Great Hotel in quite location with nice view into the nature. Excellent service, especially the cost-free driving service in a Tesla.

Shanyu is an amazing stay if you're planning to go up Huangshan mountain. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and very cozy, with open spaces and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is extremely attentive and helped us with anything we needed with a friendly smile. The owner treated us to amazing tea and conversation. Would definitely recommend!

the host and staffs are wonderful, warm and helpful. they provide free transport to and from the South entrance bus stop, making it very easy to go to the park. the room facility is nice and clean. I would have like to have a safe to keep valuable. the breakfast is balanced and coffee is the best part of it.

兒子軍訓，老公想爬黃山，就臨時決定來黃山，攜程對比了很久，選了這家民宿. 離黃山坐觀光車地方很近，設計的像一個咖啡店，整體又舒適又有格調. 拍照也很出片. 本地夫妻開的，都特別熱情和接地氣. 老闆和我都是特斯拉車主，一起聊被割韭菜，知道我喜歡釣魚，晚上還帶我們夫妻去釣魚，釣了很多翹嘴，第二天就直接給我們燉了，還請吃了一頓晚飯. 爬了黃山、又釣了魚、又在酒店發呆看星星，真的是很舒服的一次旅行. 臨走還給帶了一份伴手禮. 真的是很細心老闆. 有種回到家的舒適感. 民宿廚師小哥哥燒的菜也很好吃. 那個筍特別好吃. 老闆讓我們冬天再來去後山挖冬筍. 如果來黃山，強烈推薦 咖啡也很好喝. Nice..
