We stayed here as part of a food retreat with star chef from Karachi, Asad Monga. The experience was unreal. Location and views: We drove (beautiful, but tiring), but flights can be taken from Gilgit and Skardu. Stunning view of the Passu Cones, with the river flowing to your right. Huge gardens to sit and enjoy your view, have breakfast, take a nap or read a book. Rooms: Newly renovated, very comfortable, with adequate sitting space and balconies. Bathrooms are clean with hot water 24/7. Towels were fresh and clean and easily available. Food: Most of our meals were by Asad, so of course they were out of this world! The in house-chef, Shafiq bhai, is excellent as well. The red nest cafe opened next door is an excellent addition. Things to do: Lots of walks, drives, or just hang out in the lounge and mingle with other guests. Take a cold plunge (100% would advise) or hike up to the glacier Others- Do try the food retreat we went for (ask owners Sobia and Adnan for dates). Other than that, the ambience of the lodge is just perfect for so many things. Remote working (multiple people on their laptops), family trips, solo trips, honeymoons. Kudos to Sobia and Adnan for creating this atmosphere and especially to Zoha and Qeemat for being so friendly.
